Our Pumpkin King is tired of just being the main man during Halloween. He wants to expand his horizon and also be the Sandy Claws of Christmas.
Jack Skellington and his crew decide that they will kidnap Santa, and that they will bring their vision of Halloween to Christmas.
So, once the the Halloween scare is over, it is now time to move to the Christmas scene of The Nightmare before Christmas season. After all, this is where Jack hijacked Christmas, and brought his version of Halloween to a nice cozy Christmas season. We will see the horrified children as the snakes and lizards are let loose on the wonders of Christmas. We are shown the stark difference of Halloween and Christmas.
The Nightmare Before Christmas has become a cult movie, and it is growing - my stepdaughter had two friends over who had never seen it, but now they have - and they enjoyed it!

This movie is a Cult Classic and it can be watched any time of the year.

Jon, got this for his birthday on Sunday, and the only time we see him is during meals. He is so obsessed with this movie and there is so much additional stuff on this DVD setOur autistic son starts playing halloween music and sounds about this time of the year - yes in June. Today we will be putting on the Nightmare Before Christmas Video, eating home made popcorn with garlic butter and parmesan cheese, I am salivating just thinking about it. This is one of the very few videos that everybody in the family enjoys! We have anime people, Hilary and Duff people, Horror and comedy people, and nobody watches other people's movies - but everybody will watch the Nightmare Before Christmas together! And I am the cook and everybody loves the popcorn - non of that packaged stuff for us! This is a true get together time for everybody! We start getting into the halloween spirit really early!

It is amazing. It all started so innocently, standing and watching some store take down the halloween display and put up the Christmas display. He wrote a poem, and it turned into one of the best classic movies ever put out. I personally do not care much for animated movies, but this one is great! I love it.

Jack actually first appeared in Tim Burton's "Vincent" (1982), in minute 4:45, for a very brief moment.Jack makes his first lengthy appearance in Beetle Juice (1988) on top of Beetlejuice's hat towards the end when Beetlejuice rises out of the floor, after summoned by Lydia . Then he makes his first starring appearance in 1993 Nightmare Before Christmas.

Luck and talent followed Tim Burton through the early part of his career , but it's his talent and originality that have kept him at the top of Hollywood as a Director and Producer. He was awarded a fellowship from Disney to study animation and went to attend the California Institute of the Arts. He went to work for Disney where he found he didn't like working on the usual Disney films such as The Fox and the Hound (1981). Disney allowed him to have the freedom to work on his own personal projects, such as the dark gothic six-minute animated black-and-white Vincent Price tribute Vincent (1982). He also did the the 27-minute live-action Frankenweenie (1984), which was judged by Disney to be totally unsuitable for children and was never released. However, Paul Reubens (aka Pee-Wee Herman) saw it and decided that Burton, still only in his mid-twenties, would be the ideal person to direct his feature debut, Pee-wee's Big Adventure (1985). An enormous (and surprise) box-office hit, it led to the supernatural comedy Beetle Juice (1988), which in turn led to Burton being entrusted with the reins on the hugely expensive Batman (1989). Although his least personal film, it was one of the most successful films of all time, and gave him unprecedented power in Hollywood considering the originality and adventurousness of his work thus far. Edward Scissorhands (1990), another hit, saw him at the peak of his creative powers and established a fruitful working relationship with actor Johnny Depp. Batman Returns (1992) was a far darker and quirkier film than the original, a reflection of how much creative freedom Burton had won (though Warner Bros were reputedly unhappy with the final result). The Nightmare Before Christmas was released in 1993 and this was the greatest animated movies up until then.
