The safety vest doesn't have to be boring. (While it isn't the hottest thing out there, neither is getting a ride in an ambulance!) Find the vest that fits your budget and needs.
Orange Vests
Stand out in city traffic with a blaze orange vest. All are reflective and many have LED lights as an added bonus.
Pretty (and visible) in pink
Better safe than sorry.
As an EMT and firefighter, I've seen what happens when motorists don't see pedestrians. Do yourself and your loved ones a favor - find a vest or lighting system that works and use it!
Do we have to save people from themselves?
States, municipalities, and even the federal government are constantly developing laws to save people from themselves. Bikers must wear helmets, vehicle passengers must wear seatbelts, and children must be in car and booster seats. What about pedestrians? Is it time to start saving them from themselves?
Should pedestrians be required to don safety gear?
No way, it's my right to walk where ever!
