Nikon Coolpix vs. Panasonic Lumix

Ranked #3,993 in Computers & Electronics, #72,575 overall

My Panasonic Lumix is the Best Digital Camera!

I have the Panasonic Lumix, and I think it is the best camera ever. It's affordable, light weight, easy to use, and has lots of great features. It's now a few years old, and I'm thinking about upgrading to get some of the newest features. While asking friends and family, many like the Lumix, but others are suggesting the Nikon Coolpix.

If you own one of these point and shoot digital cameras, let us know which you prefer. If you don't, which would you buy based on friend recommendations or the details shown here?

Nikon Coolpix Commercials featuring Ashton Kutcher

I have to give it to Nikon... Their commercials are definitely cooler than the Panasonc Lumix ads.

Lumix, no question!

jelderkin1 says:

It is a very hard choice but the Lumix range have such an amazing look and feel that even thought specifications wise both ranges are in the same league appearance is sometimes enough to grab the victory

matrafox says:

I think lumix is the best

Coolpix is the way to go!

Michel1030 says:

I love the Coolpix cameras, have had several and loved them all. Very user friendly, compact, great picture taking options ("backlit" is one of the best probelm solvers) takes great pictures.

Jewelsofawe says:

I got my daughter the cool pix. I like to go for Cannon or Nikon when it comes to cameras.

TylaMac says:

I won't dis the Lumina because I've never used one but I just got a Coolpix camera for Christmas and so far I'm loving it. It takes very good pictures. I really put small cameras like these to the test and the Nikon does what I ask it to without any problems.

maytheforcebewithyou13 says:

I'd have to say Coolpix!

SD /SDHC Memory Cards

I have a 2GB Sandisk card which holds a lot of files, but looking into 4 and 8 GB next. Whoa, or a 32 GB? .D

I have a Sony Cybershot that I love! If it ever craps out, I may look into the Nikon.
