PLOT
The game revolves around GUIDE (Global United Infestation Detection and Elimination) team. GUIDE was established to control Alpha-worm infestation, an infestation that turns humans into bloodthirsty monsters. The website offers an interactive overview of the story. Web viewers can click an email message addressed to the Prime Minister of Tokyo outlining origins of the Alpha-worm infestation and the history of GUIDE. The team, led by Kanbe Ogawa is deployed in modern day Tokyo in order to sterilize the infection, sterilize being a euphemism for kill and exterminate.
GAMEPLAY
Players will assume the character of Ken Ogawa, Kanbe's son and the story's main character. Ken can use an array of ninja weapons, such as Oni-Slayer Blade, an all purpose sword, Stonerender, a destructive blade and Twin Falcon Knives, whip-like knives that can perform long range attacks. Ninja Blade allows the player to move the character in a 3 dimensional space. Gamers can make Ken jump and run at walls vertically and horizontally. The gaming experience is further enhanced with its free fall capability which allows the character to fight monsters while falling down. The seamless transition from in-game action to cinematic cut-scenes combined with the free fall action and 3 dimensional movements add up to create the ultimate ninja experience.
FEATURES
The Ninja Blade for sale within 2009 also features added characters and enhancements to the game to further intensify the gaming experience. Other characters that gamers will encounter are Kuroh Sakamoto, Ken's rival at GUIDE, Andy Walker, Ken's best friend and Agent Michael Wilson, GUIDE's founder. The combat system delivers more than the usual hack and slash. Ken can emulate stylistic ninja moves while in combat. The fight scenes are further enhanced with the incorporated 3 dimensional movements and the free fall experience. Weapons can be upgraded using crystals gathered from defeated monsters. The crystals cans be injected into your weapon of choice. The Ninja Vision is also an added perk. It is a powerful and useful ninja technique, allowing Ken to discover monsters' weaknesses and navigation clues. However, Ninja Vision's use is only limited. Gamers would have to wisely choose the moments to use the Ninja Vision.
DEVELOPMENT
This Software aims to develop a game that is different from other ninja game genres for the XBOX 360. According to developers, the enhanced cinematic action sets Ninja Blade apart from other ninja titles. It gives gamers the feel of being in a ninja movie rather than in a game. The in-game teasers found at the Ninja Blade website fuels the buzz over this game. The release date for the game is yet to be announced. However, Ninja Blade for sale on local game shops will certainly bring long lines.
