Nintendo Wii Top Games - Exposed!
Looking for the "best of the best" Nintendo Wii top games that you can compare to see if they are in your collections of wii games or not? Well, then welcome to the place to be for an open-ended discussion on that very topic. Some of these are my personal opinion as I own quite a few of them, others have are some that is on my list to purchase due to other ratings found throughout the internet where a whole bunch of these a-list gamers hang out and announce their opinion of said games. I read them all, analyze if it fits my list, and when I find one that hits that I don't already own, "bam", it's on my list. So yes, some I'm partial to, others have caught my eye, and some I love to play.
Every gamer should have a list or does have a list of their top and most wanted games. These games should meet certain qualifications to be considered a "top" game. I've compiled mine and update it frequently of ones that I either have or want. Don't worry it's not a long list but it's a little more than a top 10. I've taken that list and decided to put it up here for all to enjoy and discuss. If you have an opinion, agree or disagree, maybe something I'm missing out on, feel free to leave it at the bottom of the page. So without further ado, on to the list, my list of Nintendo Wii top games.
What does it take to make Nintendo Wii Top Games
The top 5 classifications for a Nintendo Wii Top Game
It's got to be fun! Why would you ever want to play or buy a game that's not fun. If it's not fun then I'll pass.
How many times can you play it, or better said the replay value of the game. If you can't play it and then play it again, why bother. It's gotta be one you can play day in and day out and keep your interest.
Is the game controller challenging? Gotta be more than just a couple of buttons, the wii-mote is an excellent motion sensing device and does have more than 2 buttons so it's gotta fit that mold. Eventhough this is not as critically judged as other components to make the list for Nintendo Wii top games but I like to keep it in mind.
Visual appeal: Is it something that intrigues you and you can look at it for a period of time as it's one that you will be playing often. You like the design and you can just look at it all day long and it doesn't make you want to puke!
Sound track and effects: I want my explosions loud and my attacks strong. You can even get some warm fuzzies if I can groove to it some during the game play. If you can't listen to it, you shouldn't play it as sound is an important factor to "feel" the game.
BONUS POINTS: Originality. You can grab an honorable mention and some bonus points if you bring it original. Don't make it like other games functions and controls.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Wii) Review
Nintendo Wii Top Games Choice

Overview: Super Smash Bros. Brawl, sometimes more commonly referred to as SSBB or S2B2, is an extremely quick-paced fighting game emploring some pixelated classics from the entire Nintendo world. If you ever wanted to know if Donkey Kong could take Bowser mano-y-mano or see if Pikachu could zap Mario, this is the game to put those to the test. Of course alot is gonna depend on the players skill. Plus this is the first Smash Bros. that includes characters from the non-Nintendo family as well like Sonic. 35 characters in all that you can choose from (14 have to be unlocked).
What I like: Probably the simplest and easiest fighting game to play control wise. There is one button for normal attacks and a second button for the characters special moves. The fun comes in from how you hold the wii-mote when you are pressing the buttons as this varies up what you actually hit your opponents with which type of attack. Not only that, SSBB lets you setup your controls for how your want to play making it the most comfortable for you. Just want to use the remote, fine. Want to use the remote and nunchuck? That's ok too. There are four combinations represented that you can use.
SSBB has some of the most customizations that I have ever seen on a game. Now I'm not saying that to make it seem hard or something because it's not, just saying that as to how incredible they have actually made the game. You can set the games to so many different options to make the rounds last longer so you can practice more by eliminating certain elements of the game or set it to see who has the power and most skill with the toggling of a few SSBB options.
Finally, online and tournament play is simply phenomenal for this game in my opinion. Eventhough these are two separate entities for the game as you can't play a tournament online it still gets the mention because of two things. If you have a group together you definitely will want to play a tourney of SSBB, just to see who is the dominate alpha player, friendly ofcourse, but nothing beats it. Secondly, the online aspect I haven't seen rivaled by any other game out there on the market today.

What I don't like: There's not much that I don't like about this game but there are a couple of things. For one, it seems like some of the characters are a bit slower in this one than the previous versions. Doesn't do much to hinder the game play or anything just feels slower to me, but I'm the type who always wants bigger, better, faster anyways and this game pretty much fits that mold. Also sometimes during an online session SSBB seems to lag a little, don't think that's the games fault though as I can pretty much chalk that up to my internet connection I believe which at times is horrible at best (seems to happen no matter what online game I attempt or internet site I browse).
Conclusion: Overall not a huge upgrade over the previous SSB installments but enough if your a fan to add it to your collection. With the addition of the new characters, levels, items and graphics, you will definitely have a brawl!
