Why Chase Low Value Keywords Like "Nissan Delivers"?

Dealer micro site vendors display their SEO skills for ranking for terms like "Nissan Delivers". Which is nothing more than smoke and mirrors.

I did some research on the term Nissan delivers after a micro site producer bragged about about a site ranking number one for the keyword Nissan Delivers

Why is Nissan delivers a poor keyword to chase?

I did research on search term Nissan Delivers and found it had zero search volume. While that may not be 100% accurate but the term is not even on the radar as far as stat compilations.

I can verify that Nissan corporate is not even buying the term Nissan Delivers in their SEM and they buy over 20K keywords..

A Good Designer does not Make a Good SEO

or vice versa

Designers by nature make things look nice. A SEO will help the nice stuff get found. The two should work hand in hand.

A design person would not understand how unimportant a low volume search term that may bring in national traffic is for a local dealer is.

Sites should be created to bring relevant traffic to your business. If you are a Nissan dealer in Texas traffic from the Atlantic or Pacific Coast does nothing for you. So ranking nationally for a term like nissan delivers will have low ROI..

You have to create something people are looking for not try to create a demand for something that has little value..

You need to own money terms as they apply to your business and location.
