About Nissan Leaf
The Nissan LEAF was launched in December 2010 in Japan and the United States. The Nissan LEAF was introduced in Europe early 2011 and will go globally on the market in 2012. The Nissan LEAF is not a normal car. If you look at his name and think "LEAF" then already you need to think, LEAF from the tree so it will be a green car. Nissan LEAF is the world's first 100-percent electric, zero-emission car designed for mass market. With its advanced power train, Nissan LEAF will provide a totally new driving experience, such as quietness, smooth and fast acceleration and good handling. Compact lithium-ion batteries
The Power of Nissan LEAF
Nissan LEAF is powered by compact lithium-ion batteries, which provide an output over 90kW. The electric motor delivers 80kW / 280 NM. Nissan say's that this makes a "fun to drive" experience that is consistent with what consumers expect from traditional, gasoline-powered cars.
The Nissan LEAF is in a half hour for 80% charged (with a quick charger), charging can be done with a 200V home outlet and the driving time is estimated at about eight hours. There is also a special focus on "CONNECTED MOBILITY IT SYSTEM" of the Nissan LEAF. This system is connected to a global data center, allowing rapid support, information and entertainment. Also through the monitor you can see the nearest charging stations.

- What a great name for a "green" car, my interest in green cars started with the Toyota Prius. The Nissan LEAF seems like a great green choice.

- I haven't seen one but certainly would love to give the Leaf a try somewhere down the road. I wonder about how they would function in cold climates. We don't have facilities for the recharge in the US yet to make them popular.

- We will get used to electric cars but we need to find better resources of electricity (including ones called green which are not really green)... Fine lens.
