Is Nitric Oxide Good Or Bad For The Average Person?
Nitric Oxide (N.O) is relatively new on the supplement market, but it has already created quite a big stir in people who like pushing their bodies to the limits and improving their appearance by adding bulk and size, not to mention enjoying increased strength, endurance, muscle pumps and improved recovery time.
However, some people have fallen out of love with Nitric Oxide, complaining of stomach irritation and nausea. With many people now asking the all-important question: Nitric oxide: good or bad for the average person? I thought it was time to offer my viewpoint.
Well, this Lens will go some way to clear up the confusion and better help you establish whether N.O supplementation may or my not be right for you.

Well, this Lens will go some way to clear up the confusion and better help you establish whether N.O supplementation may or my not be right for you.
Should You Believe The Hype?
As Usual The Answer Is Somewhere In The Middle...
So the first question I guess most people ask even before whether a Supplement is safe or not, is, 'Does it actually work?'Well, the answer to that is - It most certainly does.
My own experience, plus many others down at the Gym have found Nitric Oxide to be literally the most powerful pre workout supp available. You do have to use it in the right way though. Without a structured eating plan, intense training and adequate rest, the benefits will be far less pronounced. If you want to learn more in depth information regarding the type of effects you can expect then I would encourage you to read my Full Guide To Nitric Oxide Supplements.
For this Lens though, I will be focussing on the pre mentioned question of, 'Is it actually any good for you?'
To start with, you can rest assured that N.O supplements can indeed help you add bulk and size to your muscles, but just like any other Bodybuilding supplement out there, it can have some side effects, some of which are good and some not so good. The bad news is that N.O has not been in the market long enough to know whether any of its side effects are long-term, but the good news is that it is indeed a great supplement for Bodybuilders of all levels if taken in moderate doses.
Positively Established So Far....
Let us now look at the positive side effects of this supplement.First, if you are a skinny person, then you will definitely appreciate knowing that N.O can help you gain several pounds in your muscles and start looking thicker and fuller within just a couple of weeks or so.
During the first few days, what you are actually gaining may only be water weight, of course, but as you continue working on those muscles and taking the supplement according to the recommended dosage, then you will surely start seeing some real and sustainable muscle growth results.
Another good side effect of taking nitric oxide supplements is that it can help speed up the healing process from any injury, and help you to recover faster from workouts. This is because N.O dilates your blood vessels, thereby increasing blood flow to your tissues. Increased blood flow means increased oxygen supply in your muscles, and increased oxygen supply means faster healing and recovery.
Negative Side Effects
And How Best To Avoid Them
Clinical trials are also currently being conducted to determine whether nitric oxide can indeed help people who are suffering from poor blood circulation. As for a definitive answer of wherther Nitric Oxide is good or bad for the average person, it must be said, that its negative side effects have been few and that colloquially at least the ones identified so far are actually a result not of the supplement itself, but of taking too much of it.
For example, although I have met people down the Gym who have felt naseaus after taking N.O supps, they have often taken a massive dose (up to or above the recommended limits) and have almost always eaten before hand.
It may go against conventional advice, but i have personally found that not only are N.O Supps more effective on an emoty stomach, but they also react better in your body that way. The only time I have felt ill with them is when taking them directly after eating.
Another key point to consider is what brand you buy. It wont be right for me to mention names here, but all i will say is read the label first to make sure that your product isnt just full of, well, fillers.
You can follow the Big Arrow link below to find out what N.O Supp I pesonally recommend, and swear by for value, effectiveness and safety.
If you do take a massive dose of N.O without first assessing your tolerance, that is where problems arise: For example, you have to take note that too much blood flowing within your body can lead to headaches as well as bouts of nausea, and taking too much N.O supplements will naturally lead to too much blood flowing around. There have also been reports of slight heart palpitations and some heavy sweating, but these reports have also been traced back to abnormally high dosages. Therefore, if you experience any negative side effects from taking nitric oxide, the first thing you need to do is check your dosage, as you may be taking too much.
