- Susan, I enjoyed your "You're Only as Old as You Feel" lens and started looking around your others. These were my favorite cookies growing up, though Mother made them seldom. When I became an adult, I figured one benefit was being able to make them at any time. I would tell my wife I was making My Cookies. When our daughter came along, they became Daddy's Cookies. She called Friday night and her son was helping make what are now called Papa's Cookies. Thanks!

- These are my favorite cookies and they are so fast to make! I was reading your lens and they looked so good so I jumped up and made a quick batch. My recipe is a little different than yours, but yours looks like it makes a bigger batch, so I think I'll try it next time. When I was pregnant with my first son 11 years ago, I think I made these 2 or 3 times a week! :) I'm going to feature this recipe lens on my Totally Free Recipe Books lens. Love it! And I think your Zazzle products are genius!

- I can remember making these cookies ever since I started learning to cook as a child (but without the peanut butter). What a great idea, peanut butter would be the perfect addition to these cookies! Try mixing and matching coconut / raisins / walnuts in place of the peanut butter for even more tasty variations.
Oh, and for anyone thinking of making this recipe, it is a GREAT RECIPE for the kids to help with, with some parental help on the stove of course.

- Hi Melissa. When I make this recipe, I get about three dozen medium-sized cookies. Of course it depends on how much you drop from the spoon when you're "plopping" them onto the waxed paper. It's fine to make them a bit smaller or bigger. Hope that helps!

I've had them and love them but have never made them..it seems they are like a good energy cookie with the oatmeal and peanut butter along with the cocoa. I love that you mentioned that they travel well to Iraq and other troop deployments, I'll just have to lensroll to my Support Out Troops and Veterans lens.

- I can't believe that despite having 2 chocolate-craving cookie monsters I have not heard of this no-bake recipe before! Must definitely give these a try, right now! :)
P.S.: I absolutely love your idea of the recipe greeting card, btw.

- Three cheers for no-bake. I'm terrible at baking. Maybe these will break my horrible dessert cycle! Thanks. Gonna try them.

- These look really good, and the fact that you don't have to bake them... well that seals the deal. Right up my alley.

- I didn't make these this year because I knew I would eat them and sure didn't need them. I was hoping that someone would share some of theirs but no luck. I just may have to break down and treat myself. Blessed!

- I love no bake chocolate oatmeal cookies and made them just this weekend for guests staying in our rental cabin. My recipe is just a little different, calling for butter and boiling for 2 minutes. I love the ease of no bake cookies, especially during the summer.

- I've always had to bake cookies. It feels weird skipping that step, but it would save time. The ingredients are going on my weekly shopping list.

- I had never heard of these until i met my husband. So we got the recipe from his mom and I made them. And I loved them. But I always lost the recipe and would have to call my mother in law to get it. LOL
Now I can just make this my favorite lens and have it always.
