No Country For Old Men

No Country For Old Men is an epic movie that shows some terrible violence, but it also tells a story, a very interesting story that is extremely well told. The suspense can become nearly unbearable. This is cinema at its best, akin to the great films of the big masters.

Tommy Lee Jones does a marverlous job playing the Sheriff.

Shindig says:

This movie IS definitely up in the best movies ever! to the max

GrowWear says:

It IS an excellent film. Great acting; great story. Could hardly take my eyes off Bardem. Have seen him in two more movies since: Love in the Time of Cholera and The Sea Inside. Both excellent films.

cosmic_dot says:

simply a must see; all Cohen brother films are a cut above the rest. if you dislike the Cohen brothers there is no cinematic hope for you whatsoever.

emonome says:

This is classic Coens! Few filmmakers can seamlessly blend dialogue, sound, and visuals without them fighting for dominance. It's about the story, dammit!

splendidbaker says:

Loved this movie, and loved Javier Bardem even more!
Bravo to the Coen Brothers once again!

alymi says:

A story of lone men in the tradition of the big westerns, told by a very gifted story teller. Simply superb!

Wrong! It's the worst!

Showdown!

This movie is a very hard and rough story, that even if it's well told, shows too much violence!

Maybe, but the world is full of violence and a stry as well told as this one deserves space on the silver screen!

I'm fed up with violent movies, we don't need an other flick like this...

CheekyMonkey says:

Actually I found this a rather boring and pointless movie with a number of pointless characters and stereotypical, banal dialogue.
