No More Mortgage asks, are you budgeting?
Budgeting is the most important financial tool you can master.
Learning competent budgeting skills to become financially independent and free from debt gives you a substantial foundation to work from. When you think of fun things to do, budgeting is usually not near the top of the list. You'll find, though, that it is something that works and can be learned by anyone. Learn to budget effectively and you'll find it easier to pay down your debt and build your retirement more rapidly. You can use it to pay down your debt and find yourself devoid of debt and with no more mortgage payments years earlier than you expected. You can use it to help you ride out the hard times and the unexpected emergencies that arise.
If you budget now or have attempted to budget, you know that it can be hard to stay on track. It can be a real challenge. Here are a few steps to help you stick with your budget and stay on track to the financial success you deserve.
Find money you have squandered and keep more next month:
Go through your current bank statement and put in writing what each amount of money was spent on. Next, tally the items together that were not necessary and could have saved you money. You may find that you eat out too often or are spending more money when you go out than you thought you do. You need to pay closer attention to your cash withdrawals too. It's easy to squander money when you have cash in your pocket you aren't really tracking.
Build your savings for protection and safety:
You should work towards building up enough savings to cover an emergency that comes up or a period of time due to job loss. The last thing you want to do is to have to use a credit card and pay interest on an expense you didn't plan on or budget for. You can decide how much you could put into your savings to get started
Use your cash where it makes good sense:
It's better to use cash than credit cards. Building up compounded interest in a credit card is something you don't want or need. It can get away from you and has led to big trouble for many people. You're better off not having a lot of cash on you since it's easy to squander and not realise how much you spent. Use your debit card whenever possible as it's also easy to track and check your spending with. You want to leave your credit cards at home if you can't keep from using them.
Cut out bad habits:
Some of them cost you a lot more money than you realise, like your daily visit to the coffee shop, smoking, or going to the movies every weekend. You have to decide what's more important to you. Is it important to you to retire with no more mortgage or other debt payments? How are you going to get there? You can start by listing the habits you have that are wasting money and put an end to them. small expenses add up over time, and eating out every day for lunch could cost you tens of thousands in retirement income in the future.
Share the Responsibility with your family:
Everyone in your home should comprehend why you have a budget and how you will follow it. Let them know what you are trying to accomplish so they are supportive and understand why they can't spend more. Sit down with your spouse and make a plan for your spending and budgeting. Check in every week to make sure you stay on track or determine how to get back on track if you stumble. With arguments over finances being one of the principal causes of divorce, managing your budget together can help relieve or even prevent financial strain on your marriage and your family.
Focus on paying down your debt:
If you have debt you need to have a plan in place to address it. When you're struggling with debt, you may start to feel like it's going to take forever to pay it off. We've watched retirement accounts dwindle or stagnate over the last few years and the stock market isn't guaranteed. One of the only guaranteed returns on investment comes from paying off debt and not having to pay the interest on it anymore. Every time you pay off a debt you can better your cash flow too.
Re-analyze your spending:
You want to review your spending every month and look at your budgeting progress. Continue to review your statement and receipts to look for more opportunities to cut your spending. Think about taking lunch with you to save more money. Set up a carpool with a friend or someone you work with. Make little cuts where you can to increase the amount of money you have to save or put toward paying down your debt.
Your budget is the tool that is going to help you to get to the point where you can pay off your debt and have no more mortgage payments. It's essential to getting a handle on your finances and building up the retirement you want and deserve.
Reduce Use of Credit Cards
Reduce Use of Credit Cards: Pay off those 18% to 19% cards and you'll get that amount of "return" on your money.
Okay, let's talk about this. NO MORE Mortgage believes that paying off those high interest rate cards is excellent advice. The problem is, telling you that it should be done and actually teaching you how are two different things. Simply advising people to stop using their credit cards is not going to fix the problem because it's not getting at the root of why people are using those cards in the first place.
The reason that many people are using credit cards to live beyond their means is that they do not understand their emotions about money, which leads to uncontrolled spending. No one, and I mean no one, will be able to stop using high interest rate credit cards just because they know they shouldn't. That's like telling someone who needs to lose weight that they shouldn't eat the double chocolate fudge brownie that's put in front of them. Knowing what you should do and doing it are two different things.
There's no way you are going to do what you should until you examine your emotions about spending, create a spending plan, and then track every expense according to that plan to reveal your true feelings about where and how you spend money. Once you become aware of your emotions and what you truly value, you can begin to prioritize spending, which will ultimately lead to a reduction in credit card debt.
Get to the ROOT of the problem, or it is likely the problem will not be solved, and it will come back. A bad habit is not corrected until it is identified and admitted, and usually we need help from a trusted partner or a very strong system to stay on track.
NO MORE Mortgage can help you get to the root of the problem while becoming a trusted partner in all of your financial difficulties.

Hear from one of our many satisfied customers.
When I heard that we could be debt free including the mortgage in just 8 years and save more than $220,000 in interest, it almost sounded too good to be true, but when they explained the way it worked, it made sense to me we were excited. I didn't want to carry a mortgage into retirement and neither did my husband.
Now I get on every month and look at the progress we've made and it makes me feel good. We've even found ways to accelerate out plan even further and are one year ahead of schedule!
Now, getting the credit card statements in the mail isn't stressful for me because I know that everything is getting paid down as quickly as possible and one by one these bills will be gone forever. The No More Mortgage debt plan has simplified our lives in a big way. I am glad that we did it."

NO MORE Mortgage
"I like working for NO MORE Mortgage helping families build equity in their homes, with a goal of paying off their mortgage so that they own their own homes. This places families in a much more secure financial position than has been the case of the past couple decades where families were often encouraged to live off the equity in their homes. Then, when home prices fell, the equity disappeared, and many families lost their homes to foreclosure."

"I love NO MORE Mortgage. I have worked here for years and I will continue to work here for years to come. There is nothing better than working at a job that truly helps people. It's one thing to have an inviting and friendly work environment, but it is a whole lot more when you combine that with a superb product. Every person I have talked to I have been able to walk away knowing that they are going to be in a better situation because of working with us. Everything from peace of mind and stability all the way up to saving marriages comes to mind as I think about past clients I have worked with. If we could make this product a national policy then we would not be in the financial mess we are now in. Nothing can beat sound financial principles and structured financial planning. NO MORE Mortgage accomplishes all of these things and combines them in a way where it is virtually impossible to achieve the same outcome without the program. I will continue to be excited and get other people excited about this because it does work! It will work for you as long as your current financial situation allows you to qualify. Thanks for reading and I would love to talk to you more."
