Mechanical Cephalopods

I love steampunk, it brings out my inner mad scientist that lurks just below the surface. My steampunk jewelry melds my love of octopus, squid, and cuttlefish with bizarre clockwork devices.

About Noadi's Art

Noadi's Art is the creation of fantasy artist Sheryl Westleigh. I create unique sculpture and handmade jewelry designs in polymer clay and mixed media. Inspired by a love of marine animals (especially the cephalopods), science, and all things weird and wonderful. If you like cuttlefish, octopus, trilobites, or other strange creatures I've got something for you.

Clockwork Cuttlefish

Cuttlefish Jewelry

Inspired by cuttlefish, one of the most amazing marine invertebrates. Noadi's cuttlefish jewelry is sculpted from polymer clay and painted in a blend of acrylic paint and mica powders then sealed with a durable gloss varnish.

Octopodal Mechanisms

Octopus Jewelry

Octopus are some of the more intelligent invertebrates on earth, they can solve problems and have a reputation at aquariums for escaping their tanks. Noadi's octopus jewelry is sculpted from polymer clay and painted in a blend of acrylic paint and mica powders then sealed with a durable gloss varnish.

All steampunk jewelry have tiny little watch parts sealed under a coating of glaze.

Steam Powered Squid

Squid Jewelry

Like the octopus, cuttlefish, and nautilus, squid are cephalopods. There are around 300 different species classified into 29 species. The Giant Squid is the largest and one of the least known squid in the oceans. A live Giant Squid was not photographed until 2004 and only first filmed in 2006. Noadi's squid jewelry is sculpted from polymer clay and painted in a blend of acrylic paint and mica powders then sealed with a durable gloss varnish.
