No Heroics: New British Comedy from ITV 2 By Drew Pearce

No Heroics, created by Drew Pearce, is a wonderful new sitcom from ITV2 that revolves around a world where superheroes are a reality, and where reality is harsh to those superheroes.

Join The Hotness (Nicholas Burns), She-Force (Rebekha Staton), Electroclash (Claire Keelan), Excelsor (Patrick Baladi) and Timebomb (James Lance) as they sit in The Fortress - a bar where no powers are allowed, but a lot of gloating is - as they while away the long hours despairing on their lack of news worthy headlines, love or just casual sexual encounters.

No Heroics News!

No Heroics Nominated For A British Comedy Award: Nominated in Best New British TV Comedy of 2008.

Results are on ITV1 Saturday 6th December. Stay tuned for more information!

No Heroics Characters: Alex, a.k.a The Hotness

No Heroics' Desperate to be Cool Wannabe.

Desperate to be cool, The Hotness is anything but.

He's a second rate superhero trying to grab attention in a world where he's simply outclassed.

He feels inadequate and tries to overcompensate with bravado and showmanship but, unfortunately, Alex doesn't have the bottle or the charisma to back it up.

He once had a relationship with Electroclash, and even had a sex tape of their night of passion.

The Hotness is also frequently picked on by Devon, a.k.a Excelsor, and is always one step behind the even more arrogant, better endowed (power-wise) hero.

The Hotness is played by Nicholas Burns (Ironically enough).

No Heroics Characters: Jenny a.k.a She-Force

No Heroics Beautiful but Shy Lady

With the power of super strength - she's the third strongest human in the world - it might be slightly surprising that, when off duty, She-Force is somewhat of a wallflower who is desperate to be loved.

Unfortunately, she also possesses the trait of being somewhat clumsy, leading to a less than perfect social life.

She is best friends to Electroclash and seems to get on well with Don who shares her own dislike and disappointment at being a superhero.

At The Academy, Jenny was affectionately nicknamed the 'Co** Breaker' by her male classmates in reference to her unfortunate clumsiness.

She-Force is played by Rebekha Staton.

No Heroics Characters: Don, a.k.a Time Bomb

No Heroics' True Bad Boy of the Cape!

Don has been forcibly retired due to a certain 'incident' that no one seems to want to speak about. However, this homosexual Spanish superhero is perhaps the most formidable and dark of our heroes.

He's capable of seeing sixty seconds into the future (which, when he does, sort of looks like he's about to fart) and, as such, was so adept at Special Ops missions that he once killed up to 100 adults in a year.

Don was the first on our screens to successfully hook up with anyone (Alex did try but the woman was a cape fiend and it never really got off the ground, much like Alex who despairs the fact that he can't fly).

He is so bored having been forced into leave that he spends much of his days either drinking, masturbating or sleeping, and without his friends at the fortress, Don confesses, he would have nothing.

His suit looks a great deal like bondage wear.

Don is played by James Lance.

No Heroics Characters: Sarah, a.k.a Electroclash

No Heroics' Mouthy and Sexy Electronic Siren

Sarah is a northern lass, daughter of famous Eighties superheroes Rampart and Velvet Veil.

The only trouble is, to distinguish herself from her wealthy and famous parents, Electroclash, as her punkish name suggests, doesn't really fall in with the crowed when it comes to the whole Superhero business.

In fact, if there's a packet of fags in it for her, she'll probably let you get shot before apprehending your attacker.

Electroclash can talk to machines in a high, automated voice, and can, in fact, alter them to some degree (Episode 3 where she makes the intercom play a record).

Electroclash is confident, gobby and mischievous and takes very little seriously. Especially authority.

Electroclash is played by Claire Keelan.

No Heroics Characters: Devlin a.k.a Excelsor

No Heroics' Version of Superman With a Super Ego

Devlin is an arrogant, egotistical superhero much like the chief jock on a sports team.

Yes, he's got the biggest forcefield.

Yes he's recognized world wide.

Yes he's also rather handsome and fills his tight white suit well, but he's also a complete and utter idiot.

Devlin is the bane of Alex's life and torments him along with his band of cronies.

However, whilst Devlin might have many, many powers, in Episode one of No Heroics, he started to pick on Don until Don quickly whispered, when asked what he'd do if Excelsor didn't move 'I rape you, and then I kill you.'

Devlin scuttled away quite quickly showing that he's possibly not the hard man he makes out to be.

Devlin is played by Patrick Baladi.

Thanks for reviewing my site on linkreferral - I like your writing style, also. I love encountering people online who share my taste and my sense of humor. I have never heard of this program, but British humor cracks me up. I will check it out immediately, and also hook up my daughter, another Anglophile when it comes to comedy.
