A Noise Reduction Headphone Can Save Your Hearing!

Noise not only affects your hearing, but it can affect other parts of the body and body systems. It is now known that noise:

* Increases blood pressure

* Has negative cardiovascular effects such as changing the way the heart beats

* Increases breathing rate

* Disturbs digestion

OK, I'll be honest here. Until I started researching this topic, THIS PORTION I had never heard of! I mean, yes, I know that you can't sleep very well if the neighbors behind you are having a loud party that lasts after midnight, but the other stuff on this list? Nope, didn't know it at all.

And I'm betting that if I didn't know about it, there are quite a few of you that haven't been exposed to this knowledge either.

You work in a busy, professional, NOISY, office environment. . .

There are multiple phones ringing, the fax line is beeping with an incoming fax, people are talking, and others are bringing more work in and taking reports out of the office area. . .

The boss just stopped by and assigned you the task of having a 20 page report completed and placed on his desk by 5pm. It's already 1:15pm.

This ever happen to you?

It's happened to me before! And if your office is like mine was, you need to find a way to be laser focused and concentrate on the job you've just been handed with the clock ticking away inside your head.

So what do you do? You open the right bottom drawer of your desk and remove your noise reduction headphones! Yep, they work great in a busy office environment when you can't just tell everyone they have to be quiet because you have this big project you have to do in a short amount of time. I mean, it's an office, right? Everyone is doing their job and, by doing so, the noise levels can get pretty loud. Even loud enough to interfere with letting you block out everyone else in the vicinity so you can get YOUR work done, too.

Headphones can be a useful tool when you need to just block out all the surrounding noise so you can concentrate on getting your job done. Your brain can process information much quicker and more efficiently when everyone else (and their noise levels) just melt away. Your mental focus sharpens.

The amount of work that you can accomplish when you can focus all your energy in a calm manner can make a big difference in de-stressing you at the end of the day.

Oh, and by the way, that report was on the boss' desk by 4:45pm! Just thought you might like to know!

As you can see, in and around the home, inside and outside, there are MANY common noises that over a period of time will cause you to develop hearing damage. If you are around any of these loud noises for any amount of time, try to protect your hearing by using the proper hearing protection.
