Among other things, the terminal has received a physical camera button and the screen AMOLED ClearBlack now has 3.7 inch diagonally and not 3.9 as N9. The missing space is occupied by the capacitive touch buttons useful to navigate the interface of Windows Phone.

The design is attractive, using the same unibody polycarbonate case that we saw in the case of N9. The phone measures 12.1 mm in thickness, weighs 142 grams and supports a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. Under cover of this smartphone is hiding a single core processor 1.4 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon and you must know that this device comes without memory card slot, so you have to settle with 16 GB internal memory. There is also 512 MB RAM, and in terms of connectivity, the Nokia Lumia 800 provides HSDPA, WiFi and Bluetooth 2.1.

As in the case of N9 handset, it comes with an 8 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, autofocus, LED flash and video capture 720p at 30 frames per second. It has no secondary camera for video calling.Note that this Lumia model uses a MicroSIM slot, which is found at the top integrated in a very discreet space and covered by a cap which joins with the microUSB port. Going back to the camera, you should know that it was improved, at least in terms of video capturing, now supporting the double footage bitrate.

Nokia Lumia 800 uses a 1450 mAh Li-Ion battery that provides 13 hours of 2G talk time or 55 hours of audio playback. The screen on this phone seemed less flamboyant than that of N9 and the objections are that the phone hardware buttons tend to make noise rather unpleasant to the touch and appear fragile. Fortunately, a vital aspect changed from Nokia N9: single speaker phone at the bottom is heard much better.

It provides classic tile hubs and integration sites and social functions in the People Hub. For example, it allows you to see how are your relatives and your friends from contact list before calling them. Nokia brings additional three applications in Windows Phone: Nokia Music, Nokia Maps and Nokia Drive. Unfortunately these are highly redundant software and music is very uncomfortable, because he tries to integrate the Zune player, but both do the same thing, except Gigs, which allows you to find concerts nearby.

Nokia Maps, Nokia Drive, Bing Maps ... we have three navigational solutions on this device and it's very hard to choose the ideal. Wasn't more simply that all these three applications to be integrated into one? Bing Maps is a kind of inferior version of Google Maps, you already know Nokia Maps on Symbian and Nokia Drive is probably the only truly innovative service. It comes with voice guidance, 2D and 3D landmarks and the option to download maps offline. Map of the U.S.A occupies about 1 GB, but you can download other maps and regions if desired.

What I don't like about Windows Phone and other similar phones is that on music player you can't forward or back in tracks by "jumping", you must hold down the corresponding button, so you can not "jump" to one portion of the song.

Also the unpleasant movement of Zune audio files on PC to convert them in order to be supported by the Nokia Lumia 800. And then there is the problem with the web browser, the latest version of Internet Explorer Mobile which has the address bar at the bottom and is complemented by a not so comfortable keyboard.

But we have copy / paste available and because I mentioned earlier about redundant service in this category we have the Bing Music, which is the same as Shazam, it recognize the songs. That's all that I can tell you about Nokia Lumia 800 and you will probably remember that I praised Nokia N9 when it first emerged, his original design and the software used. Now is the moment of glory for Nokia Lumia 800 which has similar characteristics as I described above.
