Nokia is introducing the new member of their fashion phone collection, the newest Prism, 7900 Crystal. This phone is the result from cooperation of Nokia with Frederique Daubal as a designer. The designer make a unique look, exclusive and designed specially for woman.

Basically, Nokia 7900 Crystal Prism is not very much different from the previous model of 7900 Prism. The new 7900 give a different look by adding crystals all over the aluminum cover and keypad.

7900 Crystal Prism has a wide display and artistic wallpaper touched by Daubal. The user of the phone can find a 2MP camera, 3G supports, 1GB memory and not forgotten the MP3 player.

Nokia has just officially launched two new phones and expecting to hit the market for entry level, the 2600 Classic and 1209. Unfortunately, some countries might not be able to see both phones on the same time. 2600 will hit the market a few months before the 1209.

In the new serie of 2600 Classic, Nokia will add an old feature of Xpress-on cover. The users will be able to change the phone's case anytime they want it. There are 4 colors available to choose like midnight blue, sunset orange, sandy gold and sky blue.

It is also having multiple phonebook where you can make a list of personal contact for 5 different persons and each person can have phone numbers up to 200 numbers. This feature can be useful if you are sharing one phone with other people.

The amazing news, these phones are the result from a survey on consumers in developing countries like India, Pakistan, Vietnam and Indonesia. The survey was indicating many people in developing countries want to share the use of their phone with others.

Nokia successfully claimed as unbeatable phone's producer in the world. Their success has secured the threats from their competitors.

Nokia reported USD 2.7 billions profit in 4th quarter 2007, increase by 44 percents compare to the same period in 2006. In total, they sold about 133.5 millions phones only in the last 3 months of 2007.

Those big profits came from a high sales volume for low end phones which was sold in developing countries. From those numbers, Nokia claimed a market share by 40 percents in global market in 4th quarter 2007.

According to a research institute, the market share of Nokia was higher then a total market share of Motorola, Samsung and Sony Ericsson combined together which was only about 35% of market share.

However, Nokia cannot underestimate their competitors. Samsung has successfully took over the place of Motorola in second position as the biggest producer in the world. Reported by Samsung, their total profit in 4th quarter 2007 increases by 67% in telecommunication businesses including the sales of cellular phones.

Nokia announced their success in testing 4G. The test was made in Berlin with 2.6 Gz spectrum and can reach a maximum speed up to 173 Mbps. In order to support the test, Nokia built a prototype base station on top of Heinrich Hertz Institute located in center of Berlin.

With this test, Nokia found the proof that current base station can be used without building any new antennas. It will be a convenient for any company to upgrade their system from 3G to 4G.

Nokia announced the new serie of 3110 Evolve which is claimed as environmental friendly. The friendliness is coming from the bio-cover as having more then 50% recycled materials and using 60% recycled materials on the packaging.
