Teenage non fiction books
As a teenager and adult I loved to read non fiction. However, schools and colleges often tend to push fiction choices onto teens and forget there are many teenagers who love to read true stories and factual books. Therefore, I have created a list of the of several non fiction books for teenagers. Reading non fiction is so beneficial. Teens can learn through the real life experiences of the authors, increase knowledge, learn about personal development and improve life skills.
There are lots of great non fiction books for teens. This article aims to give suggestions from various different genres of non fiction for teens including books about life experiences, factual books and personal development literature.

Stories of life experiences
The list below features stories of life experiences from a wide range of people. Some of them are teenagers/children who live in other parts of the world. Others tell of travels abroad and experiences in another culture. One thing all the books have in common is that they will introduce teenagers to the different cultures, different ways of thinking and different experiences of other people. They will broaden horizons and open minds. Through these books teenagers can learn lessons from the experiences of others which will impact their own everyday lives.
