My 'lawn' is natural, native and non-toxic. I do some seeding on the hill in the fall (rye mix) to keep the dirt from running down the hill. Other than that we don't do much -- it is all natural.

We replaced our lawn with a garden. It's very shady now and requires little water once the plants are extablished. It's a trend I'm seeing more of in California especially.

Favourited this important lens - the chemicals put on gardens and agricultural land are insidious and potentially deadly (and certainly deadly for insect life, including the vital pollinating species, like bees.

Brilliant lens - we have used no 'chemical' stuff on our lawns or garden for the 41 years we have lived here.

I live in Ontario, and its a shame people with no knowledge of what a pesticide is versus a herbicide is, are making the decisions, my six acres are unmanageable without them, now im spreading dandelions by the million all over Ontario, try mulching that!

Great lens...I'm going to try some of this in my lawn service company. Thanks!

Great to hear these unneeded pesticides are starting to be banned. We need more places to ban this stuff. Until then regular people need to know they can take care of their yards and gardens without these poisons.

Nice lens. I am thinking of getting one of those synthetic lawns myself ;) No mowing, no care, all green all the time, heh.
