My Squidoo

I started using Squidoo this month, November 2010. I see that there is people that are making money on here and want to share everything that I go through on Squidoo. I have been writing online for a couple of years now, but this is my first time making Squidoo lenses. On this lens I will update it on a fairly regular basis and share my successes and failures.

About Me:

I am 31 and single. I am expecting my first child in June of 2011. I work part time, but want to return to school after the baby is born. I am using my online earnings to put away for maternity leave, and the future of my family. I am hoping that I will be able to make enough income online to be able to go to school and still spend time with my baby. Squidoo is going to be a part of that, I hope.

April Online Earnings are Going to a Family in Need

My sister, Denise Wade, has been through a lot in the last few years. Now she is faced with an even bigger obstacle in her life, being a disabled single mom of three. Her husband recently left her for someone else, and lost his job. She received a letter telling her that she is about to lose her home, in addition to everything else that she has going on. I need my online income, but I am donating all of Aprils income to her family. In addition to that I am taking the next two months to try and raise money for her, it is The Denise Wade Family Fund. Everything I raise will go directly to help her with medical, living, and to save her home or move to a more affordable home.

I have a website set up in her honor for donations,Denise Wade Family Fund. In addition to that site all of my April earnings from all online earnings sites will go to the family, and I will be posting a donate button on all of my blogs. Every penny will go to help the family. Thank all of you for reading, and for any help that you can give.

Update on Me

I have not updated in a while, so I wanted to share some great things that are going on in my life. I had my son on June 10, and he is doing great. He has been the biggest blessing that I have ever had. He has been my focus, I want to be able to provide for him every way possible.

The other big change is that I have moved out of Texas, and into Colorado. This was a big move for me. My mom, sister, her three kids, and my son found a home and packed up and moved. We saved for a few months to make this accomplishment, and we are so happy that we did. The only bad part about this is that I feel responsible for her kids as well as my son. There dad left in January, and does not do much for them. My sister and mom are both unable to work, so the majority of everything is now on my shoulders.

I have not been able to find a job yet, but we have only been here 5 days. There are a few openings that are close to us, but we live out in the mountains and it will be different for me during the winter.

I am happy with our decision to move, even though my responsibilities have increased dramatically. I am willing to work two or three jobs if I have to to make sure that everyone is taken care of. I am also going to continue to work online, and hopefully increase these earnings.

Your AVON Business Lens

I am actually very proud of my Your AVON Business Lens. It has reached the top 20000 on Squidoo. I still have not earned anything on the lens, but the ranking and views continue to keep rising. I think I will try to edit a few of the Amazon sections to see if I can get a few sales. I am also going to promote the lens a little more to see if I can get the lens to the top 100. I also did a few different searches on AVON, and my lens is on the top four pages of all of the searches that I had done.

Squidoo Progress

February 24, 2011:

I have not been on the site as much this week, but I am still learning little by little. One of the best ways I have learned to promote all of your Squidoo lenses it to make use of the featured lens modules. Since I have used this on more of my lenses I have been able to increase views and ranking on a few of my lenses.

My top two articles this week are:

Direct Sales Tax Deductions

Your AVON Business

My AVON lens has been doing pretty well. I still have not made anything on it, but I have increased article views with the lens.

February 13, 2011:

My views have been increasing at a steady pace. This week I have had a total of 23 views on my 11 Squidoo Lenses. My top lens for views has been Your AVON Business. This lens has had 8 views this week, and the ranking has went from the 200, 000 mark to the 86,000 mark. All of my Squidoo lenses have been doing fairly well, but this is the best one. Now I just have to start increasing the Squidoo ranking by more so I can begin to get paid for them all.

January 31, 2011:

I made a great sale on my Helpful things for Expecting Single Mothers lens through Amazon. My portion was a little more than $2. My first sale only gave me .30 cents, so I was very happy with this sale. I am happy with my continuing growth on Squidoo, and I hope it keeps getting better.

January 22, 2011:

I am gradually learning more about the Squidoo process. I have began to work on my lenses to increase there rankings. In the last 3 days I have gotten all of my lenses ranked at 300,000 or better. 3 of the lenses are ranked higher than 100,000. It actually does not sound that great, but I have increase the rankings. There is still a lot to learn about Squidoo, and I intend to continue learning.

January 11, 2011:

It has been a few weeks since I have updated, but my earnings on Squidoo has not changed. I am still at .40. I have to say that the earnings on here have not changed, but my views on my articles that I have promoted are increasing. I am sure that some of the increase has something to do with my Squidoo lenses. I now have 9 lenses on Squidoo, and I plan on increasing that number a little each week. Even if I do not earn a lot on Squidoo, I am still increasing my earnings in other areas. I am still hoping that I begin to see an increase in my income on Squidoo.

December 18, 2010:

It has been a few days since I logged in, but I earned a little while I was gone. I did an Amazon sale, and earned from something else. I am still trying to figure out some of the pay on Squidoo, but I am happy with earning. It says that I have earned .40. I know it does not sound like much, but I have not put as much as I should into Squidoo as of yet.

December 4th 2010:

I received my first two likes on my Squidoo lenses in the last couple of days. I am excited about that, it means I am having some progress. I still have not earned anything on the site, but I have not submitted any new lenses yet. We will see how the Squidoo progress goes. Thank you for reading.

November 30, 2010:

I started using Squidoo at the beginning of the month, so I do not have much progress to share. This is my 5th lens, and I have not made any earnings as of yet. I am still learning about the revenue sharing and other earning opportunities on Squidoo, so hopefully I will start seeing earnings come in before long.

Thank You

I have been working on my Squidoo lenses to improve them as much as I can. My daily views has been growing as a steady pace, and I would like to thank my readers. With any online writing forums, the readers is what makes you appreciate the work. So I wanted to take the time and give you all a personal THANK YOU! I appreciate every one of you.
