How is Noni Fruit Beneficial to Your Health?

A growing number of people today have reaped the benefits of eating certified organic noni fruit leather and pure juice. Brian Issell, M.D., of the University of Hawaii is leading a clinical trial to understand the pros and cons of using noni to treat cancer. What lead Dr. Issell to study noni and it's pain-relieving, cancer fighting properties? "Several of my cancer patients reported it made them feel and function better... [d]ue to this we are (also) conducting quality of life measures within the analysis."

In the June 2006 issue of Phytotherapy Research, Drs. T. Arpornsuwan and T. Punjanon from the Faculty of Allied Health Science at Thammasat University (Pathumthani, Thailand), identified the cancer killing extract inside the test tube for human laryngeal carcinoma (Hep2) cells, the "crude extract exhibited cytotoxic activity against breast cancer (MCF7), and neuroblastoma (LAN5) cell lines at 29 and 36 percent, respectively. The exact same concentration of extract showed absolutely no toxicity."
