What is the Cost to Form a Nonprofit?
For most charities have been doing their thing for some time. On occasion, some person may see the need to start a new one. Not like what some people have told me, you can't be a nonprofit business just by saying that you are nonprofit. And, just because a business is truely a nonprofit business, contributions to them may not be tax deductible in any way, shape or form.

To Be A 501(c)3
In order to start a charity on a firm setting with credibility, it is need to charter as a non-profit company and get approval from the Internal Revenue Service to be classified as a 501(c)3 organization. I have quickly discovered that that will take some cash, money.I got the following start-up costs from the internet. Places that offer the legal work to be done, such as LegalZoom.
$359.00 for the the organizational charter.
$20.00 for the state fee.
$30.00 for the tax ID application.
$79.00 for the IRS tax ID.
$149.00 per year for a registered agent.
$795.00 to file for 501-c-3 status.
$850.00 for 501-c-3 fee.
$950.00 for a computer and internet.
Total needed for start-up = $3,232.00
