You're Invited

Sorry, but you missed this seminar!

If you're a nonprofit interested in finding out how you can spread your story, for free, on Squidoo.com, or if you'd like to be alerted about other nonprofit events in the future, please contact Jill Gordon at jill [at] squidoo.com

You're invited to spend an afternoon with Seth Godin, one of the most influential business and marketing thinkers of our time, learning how to harness the power of today's Web -- and your own supporters -- to spread your message, attract new supporters, and engage existing ones.

You've heard rumblings of "Web2.0", YouTube, online communities, podcasts, blogging campaigns. You've seen Time Magazine choose "you" as the person of the year. But what does it all mean for nonprofits? How will the new rules of the Internet redefine the way you'll want to market, fundraise, and organize in 2007?

Join us to find out.

What Exactly Will We Cover?

- How can the new rules of the Web impact your business strategy and dramatically increase your donations, supporter base, and overall visibility?

- How are the smartest nonprofits using the Internet to their advantage in 2007?

- What 5 new Internet tactics can you put into your business or marketing plan, this week, to make a real difference to your bottom line?

It's time. Ten years after the web hit the scene, it's become far more than an automated method for collecting donations from your biggest supporters. The web now deserves the attention of your top management, because the web is fundamentally and permanently altering the non-profit landscape.

Some organizations are leaning into the new community power (it's free) available online, while others are stuck, unable to move quickly enough to spread the word. In this challenging four-hour executive session, web pioneer Seth Godin outlines exactly what's working (and what's not) and what you can do to take action.

Here's a hint: almost all the exciting things happening online aren't on your website. Org2.0 is about a newly connected world, a world where ideas spread, money flows and volunteers speak up and take action.

When, Where, and How Much

When: Monday, February 12, from 1-4:15pm.

Where: We'll be convening in New York City at the fabulous Helen Mills Theatre.

The theatre is located at 137-139 West 26th Street between 6th and 7th Avenues. It's ten or twenty blocks from some great hotels, with a short walk to a bunch of subways as well.

Price: $200 for you, and your boss can come for free. (And all the proceeds go to charity.) Two seats maximum per organization, since we're limiting the event to 50 seats.

Why Should You Come?

  • Because nonprofits are getting savvy on how to use the Web to their advantage. If you're not up to date on the latest tools and trends, someone else will be.
  • Because Seth does not do these seminars very often. For background on Seth and to see what other audiences have said about him, check out the Seth Godin Official Website.
  • Because we'll donate all the seminar proceeds to charity.
