Really great resources for those looking to return to school after a break. My oldest son is currently a nontraditional student.

Am glad you put this up here. There seems to be some disability in many students today. Maybe in the past, we just did not have the means to assess. I was in a school here in Cambodia once and saw how many of the poor students have to bring their younger siblings to school as no one would care for them at home with the parents working in the farm. But these students just keep on. We are lucky we have so much help.

Got to agree as a teacher of Nontrads and a nontrad myself, they are definitely some of the better students.

Hi from another successful nontrad grad! Great resource for anyone considering the next part of their lifelong learning path.

I am a nontraditional student (in fact all 3 of my postgraduate degrees were nontraditional) and I teach nontraditional students. I know many nontrads are nervous when they go back to school about competing but usually they do better as they have better time management skills and know how to prioritize and work smart. They are also more motivated.

I do know a lot of non-trad students and I commend them for wanting to further their studies - it's never too late after all. The TV show "Community" somewhat revolves around this theme. Great lens with lots of good info - ~blessed~

I'm the new Non Traditional Representative from NWMSU (MO) and while surfing to find info, I found your site. I got quite a bit of info--thanks! It's so hard finding information about Non Traditional organizations. If you have any suggestions and/or info I sure would love hearing it! Thanks!

Hi, good info for nontrads! I gave you 5 Stars. I have been a nontraditional student (much of it online) since January 1998. It would have been great to have a site like this to fill me in on so much. Thanks!

Thank you so much! I appreciate that (and the great rating too).

Great information! Our son is a nontraditional student, completing four years of active duty as a Marine before going to college on the GI bill. His college has lots of nontraditional students, though, and many GI bill students so he's certainly not alone, and he's just in his 20s and single. I can definitely see how these groups would be especially beneficial to older nontrads with families. Great topic for a lens!

Thank you, Susan! Also, I wish your son the very best of luck.
