Things I don't want to read

Ranked #44,423 in Entertainment, #532,343 overall

Write what the people want to read

The Internet has a lot of information on it. When writers earn money for the amount of views they receive sometimes their quality is compromised for quantity. Here is a list of the things that I do NOT want to read. It is the antibrainstorm. It's the lens that checks items on your "to-write-about" list off and buries them in a shallow grave.

Here is the List:

The most annoying things on the Internet

An obvious attempt to earn money

Okay, everyone can use a little extra money, but come on! Lets write a few sentences, put a few pictures on your lens, but put endless ads on your page and place your Zazzle store that has nothing to do with your website. Such attempts are fake and will not receive referrals to friends or recommendations on other websites. Put time into your work and you will have a much better feeling with your work, your readers will be satisfied, and you will receive more money over a longer period of time. Don't sacrifice quality for quantity.

Your boring life story

Okay, you are an expert on your own life. But don't tell us about it all, including your birth. Pull out the interesting stuff to everyone. What makes you unique? What separates you from other people? If this event happened to another person, would you want to read about it? Really? Really, really?!? Okay, right about it then, and I will read.

Encyclopedia entry

I can buy an encyclopedia and read it. If you have some information that is not commonly known, okay, or pull out the information I need to know, alright. But those are the only excuses. I want attitude!

Your pets

I only want to read about your pets if you have "Keyboard cat", have an unusual pet, or have a squirrel that water skis. I love that squirrel and that silly cat.

Add your own annoying internet petpeeve

Or refute any of my "Things I don't want to read"

Bring it on, but be respectful to everyone.

Hi, I agree with you partly that we both don't want to read someones entire life-story down to the last detail.but i do want to read about other peoples lives, their hardships, illnesses, loves and loathes, their pride and joys and about what makes them tick, laugh, cry etc, ok so i do want to hear every last detail about people i like and admire and respect because of their accomplishments, dreams, aspirations, goals, and achievements in their lives.I don't want to read about politics ..or cricket lol, apart from those two things i'l read anything anywhere and everywhere i go, if you're open to read about anything then in my eyes we are also open to be able to write about anything too.?

What I want to read

Here's the list:

What do you want to read?

What do I look for on the internet to entertain myself? What am I interested in? If your interested in it there is probably a market for it. Your interest will create my interest.

Help me! Tips to help others

Are you an expert on something with some helpful tips? Help me out! Got a good beauty tip using pickle juice? I want to know.

How to do something

Are you an expert on something? Pretend that I am a complete moron (I said pretend) and give me step by step directions on how to do it. Make a video or be descriptive and don't skip steps.

The people are fickle: What's new? What's hot right now? What will be hot?

North Korea is making nukes planning to hit us? Write about Kim Jong Il and what you need to know about the situation. What is in the news right now? What is in Google trends? Research and write. What do I need to know to be well-informed?

Have an attitude? Share it.

Show that you are human and not a computer. Write with attitude. Bubbly? Cynical? Optimistic? Funny? I want to see it in your writing. I am not reading an encyclopedia or a dictionary and I like to be reminded that a person wrote what I am reading.

A funny, entertaining, or traumatic experience

In looking for something I want to read I look for something extraordinary. I want to read a hilarious story of you being treed by a bunch of wild coyotes while you were skinny dipping in a pond and were saved by the park ranger. Use your humor. What were you thinking at the time? Hell, even curse if you would like (but don't overdo it or the words lose their meaning). Swearing can keep things interesting and give you an exclamation point. Did you defeat anorexia, depression, cancer, another disease? Give us your story, you can help us.

Misery loves company

Had a bad time camping? Share your horror story of a skunk spraying your tent. Its hilarious for the rest of yourself, but make sure you make it funny. Its easier for us to laugh at you then and we know you are laughing at yourself.

Dreams and ambitions

What is your dream? What would you like to do in the future? What dreams have you accomplished? If you enjoyed it, maybe I am interested in it too. Inspire me to dream.

Honest, legitimate ways to earn money

Everyone wants to earn a little money on the side. Found a way? Share the love. Don't scam people.

Guestbook and something to read

Sign the Guestbook and ,if you would like, add something I and others would want to read.

Before posting ask yourself if you would read the material if you did not write it. If not, improve it or don't post it. I want to get a lot of good lenses on here.
