Norma Budden is becoming famous and very popular around Squidoo with her Purple Star Series. She has created a fabulous outlet for us to showcase our Purple Star lenses. Purple Star Twisters

Enter The Contest To Win This Mug

You Can Win This Cool Purple Star Mug!

Norma's newest lens in the Purple Star Series is Purple Star Twisters. Her creative juices flowed heavily on this one. I think I heard there were flash flood warnings in her home town while she was writing it.

Purple Star Twisters offers 3 contests and each one entitles the winner to one of these Purple Star Mugs. The contests are:

  • Write a joke - Question and Answer format
  • Write a 4 line poem
  • Write a tongue twister.


The contest runs until April 30, 2010. If you would like to enter any of these contests, visit the lens, follow the rules, and, who knows, you may be getting a mug in the mail in May!

Norma Budden Is A Giant Squid

Norma started swimming with the Giant Squids in January, 2010. She definitely deserves to be in this elite group. Since becoming a Giant Squid, Norma has received 3 purple stars and a Lens of the Day.

Norma announced recently that she had sent her email to be considered for the Giant 100 Club. I am sure we will be celebrating a new 100 Club member in April.

and RocketMom

Norma came up with the idea to create a place for her Purple Star lenses and for us to share our Purple Stars, too. She published Purple Star Awards. The page was an immediate hit on Squidoo. I sent emails to nominate this beautifully crafted lens for a Purple Star and for Lens of the Day. Bonnie, Robin, and Kimberly agreed with my opinion and gave Norma both of these distinguished and highly sought after awards.

Norma is also a member of RocketMoms on Squidoo. RocketMoms is an invitation only group of "the smartest women on the web". I have to think that Bonnie has never regretted inviting Norma into this wonderful group. The best thing about the RockeMoms is the way they share their successes with one another. I don't think you'll find a more supportive and giving group of women anywhere else.
