We just went to a diabetes center and totally changed the way we eat...so far, my husband's sugar has stabilized but we need to persist in it.

Really informative lens. Managing blood sugar levels is a lot like trying to hit a moving target. The amount of sugar in your blood is always changing because it is affected by factors like the food you eat, how much food you eat, your medication, your activity level, etc. Not surprisingly, exercise and a proper diet are the keys to controlling it.

I journal my food intake, count calories, watch sugars and carbs and drink as much water as I can during the day. I still have some bad habits like artificial sweetener in my coffee, but overall am improving my health one baby step at a time! Your information is very helpful.

Very strict diet with low calories and carbs. Also vitamin supplements like magnesium supplements to help boost cell metabolism.

It is being found by an increasing amount of people that aronia berries do have normalizing effect on patients with diabetes when used in dietary regiment. Go ahead and do a quick search internet and see what others are finding out. As a grower we are a supplier of fresh-frozen Aroniaberries and would like more people to discover their amazing qualities. See: http://www.blazerfarmz.com Thanks.

This was really interesting. I have low blood sugar and suffer from low energy bouts and my faher has type 2 diabetes, it really made me think of what I can do to stop myself going the same way. I already try and grow as much of my own food as I can, but I'm definately going to be paying attention to the glycemic index now and perhaps changing my eating habits to small meals but often. Thanks for all the great info!

I try to feed my family well, but I'll admit that I eat too many sweets. I had to rate myself a 7 on the opinion scale. I'm almost willing to make more changes and become more proactive about my health. I'm being honest! Your information is excellent and gives me a lot to think about. Thanks, Carmel!
