New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, New England, Northeast Snowstorms

The winter of 2011-2012 has been a disappointing one if you love snow for young and old. Skiers have to ski on man made snow if it doesn't melt and children aren't getting their snow days. This is a surprise after so many snowstorms in 2011.

You have come to the right place if you need to be reminded of what snow looks like. The pictures I've added are from the winters of 2009-2011. The only significant snow that we had was Halloween weekend in October...early! It has been mild ever since...and is going into the 70's as this page is being updated in March of 2012...and at this additional update in April of 2012 there will be snow again for some through central Pennsylvania, and New York in the Buffalo area.

Predict Weather with a Home Weather Station

Be Your Own Meteorologist

My husband and I have been researching weather stations, and are interested in buying one similar to this one. We're looking for one that we can connect with wunderground.com so there is someone reporting weather from our exact location. Elevations vary so much here that temperatures by zip code online or on the weather channel on TV are not always accurate.

I think the last snowstorm I was a part of was in Atlanta, Georgia of all places! I'm from Cleveland, Ohio and know snowstorms ... but never expected to have one in Atlanta!
