Something for everyone

If you like the outdoors, Northern California is the place to be. Hiking, fishing, boating and water sports, camping we have it all!

Northern California is the home to two active volcanos Mt. Shasta and Mt. Lassen. Surrounded by lakes, with two of our major ones Shasta Lake and Wiskeytown lake. Beautiful coastline and of course the California Redwoods.

We hope to make this the top lens for learning about Northern California, so stop by often!

Great place for a family picknic!3 points

Lassen Volcanic Park

An active volcano with plenty to see. Plan on spending a full day here.2 points

Shasta Dam

Don't forget to take the Dam tour when you go to visit this incredible monument. When you look down at those pipes that feed the power turbines it's hard to be leave that you can drive a school bus in them.

Did you know that there is enough concrete in Shasta Dam to make a side walk that circles the entire Earth?1 point

Wiskeytown Lake

Walk across a glass Floored suspension bridge spanning over the Sacramento River. This huge monument is a working sundial. Equally beautiful when it is fully lite up at night.

A historic gold mining town that is well worth the visit on the way to Wiskeytown lake. Be sure to visit during the day so you can check out the Courthouse Museum for a look of how people really live during the California Gold Rush.

Awesome Shasta Lake Wakebording

Lake Shasta Wakeboarding 2007

This is a video of me, Beau Bushnell wakeboarding in northern california at lake shasta. I do tricks from grabs up to backrolls, tantrums, and 360's. I will wakeboard behind any boat at anytime anywhere. I just cant get enough of wakeboarding. I ride a 138 murray the 10th edition. it is a sick wakeboard. I like wakeboarding behind a malibu wakesetter but any wakeboating boat will do for me.
