Uncomplicated Understanding & Simple Solutions for Allergies
The primary reason for an allergy is due to an excess ingestion of food, contaminated air, water or a deficiency in the body due to lack of mineral, vitamin and physical energy. The deficiency and excess conditions result in toxicity which can spread from one organ to the next, disrupting organ function and homeostasis or general balance.
The human body is always working on maintaining balance and involves every organ and system to maintain that harmony. For instance, if the lungs and digestion are not able to manage seasonal pollens, mold and microbes then:
- the nasal passages will excessively drain to clear out the overflowing toxins.
- The lungs - bronchi - trachea produce mucus, all to assist the cleansing of excess.
- liver function may become overtaxed and over-heated thus drying out mucus making it difficult to clear mucus obstruction and decreasing immune function
There are many examples of allergic reaction that are an extension of an excess/deficient constitution type. Foods to Increase and Avoid in Your Diet
The foods below are recommended because they alleviate excess mucus production and obstruction in the channels (energy and circulation). Due to this clogging function, disruption occurs in the detoxing organs as wella s the channels for eliminating the excess in food and toxins. Even though the foods below do not contribute allergic reaction, too much of the foods can result in allergy conditions.- Foods: bee pollen, honey, citrus seed, protein foods (small amount, often), onions, sprouted wheat, sprouted legumes, sprouted seeds, micro-algae, chlorophyll-rich foods, cereal grasses, liver support foods/herbs,
- Drinks: Almond milk, Herb teas (no lemon or orange), Pure fruit juices without sugar or additives (dilute 50:50 with water), Roasted grain beverages may be used as coffee substitutes, Seltzer (salt free), Soy milk without corn oil, Spring water in glass bottles
- Cereals: Oatmeal, Oat bran, Cream of rye, Puffed rice and millet, Diluted apple juice, apple slices, and nuts go well on cereal. Use soymilk that has no corn oil added or almond milk.
- Grains and flour: Bean flour, Buckwheat flour, 100% buckwheat soba noodles, Cooked whole gains, such as oats, millet, barley, buckwheat groats (kasha), rice macaroni, spelt (flour and pasta), brown rice, amaranth, quinoa, rice, or millet breads (that contain no dairy, eggs, sugar, or wheat), Potato flour, 100% rice cakes, Rice crackers, Rice flour, 100% rye or spelt bread with no wheat, Rye crackers, Soy flour
- Legumes: Black beans, Chickpeas, Kidney beans, Lentils, Navy beans, Peas, Soybeans, String beans, Tofu, Dried beans should be soaked overnight. Pour off the water and rinse before cooking. Canned beans often contain added sugar or other potential allergens. Some cooked beans packaged in glass jars, and sold at health food stores, contain no sugar.
- Nuts and seeds: Nuts and seeds, either raw or roasted, without salt or sugar, Nut butters from health food stores or from fresh ground nuts (such as almond butter, cashew butter, walnut butter, sesame butter, and sesame tahini)
- Oils: Use cold-pressed or expeller-pressed oils (available from health food stores), as they are safer for the heart and blood vessels. Do not use corn oil or "vegetable oil" from an unspecified source, as this is usually corn oil. Flaxseed (edible linseed) oil, Olive oil, Peanut oil, Safflower oil, Sesame oil, Soy oil, Sunflower oil
- Protein: Canned tuna, salmon, and other canned fish, Fresh fish, Lamb, Poultry and fowl
- Vegetables: All vegetables except corn are generally acceptable. Tomatoes sometimes cause problems and should be avoided by susceptible individuals.
AVOID THE FOLLOWING FOOD:
Lack of dietary changes will yield allergic conditions.In other words, if you continue eating what you have been consuming, you cannot expect your condition to improve. Please consider seriously the recommendations so you can free yourself from debility.
- Peanuts are a common food allergen and should be avoided, along with peanut butter
- Canola oil (rapeseed)
- Consumption of mucous producing foods, ie. animal by-products (milk, butter, yogurt, etc.)
- Excess consumption of food, This variable is determined by the individual's current detox function.
- Glucan sensitive foods based on wheat (not every has this issue)
- Deadly Nightshade plants (tomatoes, egg plant, potatoes) minority suffer from this sensitivity.
- Sugars
- Excitotoxins (most sugar replacements except stevia, Agave nectar, etc.)
- Incomplete foods or Non-whole foods
- Breads made from flour as opposed to complete whole grain bread
