Nostradamus was Born In France on 14th December (or 21st december) 1503.He was Practicing Physician with astrology.As A Physician he treated those who were suffering from plague,but with a twisted irony he lost his own family from the disease.He was also Forced To leave the univeristy of avagon where he was studying for his baccalaureate grammar, rhetoric and logic due to the disease .

Nostradamus wrote messages from the past to the future in the form of short poems consisting of four lines each called Quatrains. In his lifetime Nostradamus completed a total of 942 quatrains, which he organized into groups of 100 quatrains called Centuries.However one century only has 46 quatrains.

The rhymed quatrains of Nostradamus were written mainly in French with a bit of Italian, Greek, and Latin thrown in to throw the Spanish Inquisition off if they should ever discover his manuscripts. This is because the Spanish Inquisition had been dealing with metaphysical literature by holding public burnings in the public squares.

Nostradamus' Predictions mostly concerned the future of his country France and about french leaders.But their are many other great prophecies too.

Nostradamus Predicted about the death of the king of his country King Henry II.

"The young lion will overcome the older one,
On the field of combat in a single battle;
He will pierce his eyes through a golden cage,
Two wounds made one, then he dies a cruel death."

Nostradamus Predicted about the death of the king and it is said that he warned the king.But the king ignored all the predictions and took part in Jousting(a martial contest between two knights mounted on horses and using lances.) against Comte de Montgomery,six years younger than Henry II.Both of them had shields which was embossed with the lion.In the Final Fight Montgomery's lance, which he failed to lower at the right time, shattered. A piece of it went through the King's gilded visor (Golden cage), which resulted in two woulds, as per Nostradamus's predictions; one spliced his eye, while the other pierced his temple, just behind his eye. His brain was penetrated by both the splinters. For 10 days, the King underwent intolerable pain, and then died a cruel death.

Although It is Said That the link was proposed to be print only in 1614,thus making it a Postdiction, yet it is one of the most famous prophecies of nostradamus that came true.

The Great Fire Of London which started on 2nd September, 1666 and continued for five days was already predicted by nostradamus.
87 churches were destroyed and 13,200 houses were burned down.Though The First Line "blood of the just will be demanded" turned out to be wrong because only 6 persons died.

Yet followers of nostradamus assume that as nostradamus hated plague and the fire was the reason for death of many rats, who were carrier of plague and killed many people in the europe during the era of nostradamus.Thus "blood of the just" is reasonable.

Quatrain :-
"From the enslaved people, songs, chants and demands,
The princes and lords are held captive in prisons:
In the future by such headless idiots
These will be taken as divine utterances."

Before the war comes,
The great wall will fall,
The King will be executed, his death coming too soon will be lamented.
(The guards) will swim in blood,
Near the River Seine the soil will be bloodied."

On July 14th, 1789, as predicted by nostradamus before war came,the symbol to the detested monarchy, the prison (wall) of Bastille, was stormed into by the French people. The Storming of Bastille, marked the beginning of French Revolution. The Revolution started the rise and fall of the guillotine, which was located on the banks of River Seine(The guards will swim in blood near the River Seine.).The French Revolution only made Nostradamus name as a seer, even more popular. He had predicted the French Revolution, 200 years before it actually occurred.

If The letters PAU, NAY, LORON are re-arranged it becomes "Napaulon Roy",or napoleon bonaparte, one of the most famous emperor of france.In this quatrain Nostradamus mentions about the rise of napoleon and describe napoleon as "more of fire than of blood".The 'Piuses' of the third line are the Popes Pius VI and Pius VII, who were both imprisoned by Napoleon as is implied by the last line.

Nostradamus Mention About a man "Hister" in many of his quatrains,which later on was proposed by many experts that it is about the life of hitler,from his birth to his rise and world war II.

Hitler was born near river danube which in latin is pronounced as "Hister".


"From the deepest part of Western Europe

The Above quatrain clearly match with the birth of hitler.Hitler was born in poor family.The Third line mention about the charismatic personality of Hitler who in real life too made impact on the mind of people through his speeches and Germany-japan alliance clearly refers to his increase in reputation in east.

The greater part of the battlefield will be against Hister.
Into a cage of iron will the great one be drawn,
When the child of Germany observes nothing. "

This quatrain as interpreted by experts may mention about germany invading france (in first line).The Second Line is interpreted about the army alliance that eventually defeated hitler.The Child of germany (hitler) observes nothing.


"In the year very not far from Venus,
The two greatest ones of Asia and of Africa:
They are said to have come from the Rhine and from
Hister Cries, tears at Malta and the Ligurian sea-coast"

"Liberty will not be regained,
It will be occupied by a black, proud, villainous and unjust man:
When the matter of the Pontiff is opened,
The republic of Venice will be vexed by Hister."

The above two Quatrains Refers to the conquests in spain and africa by hitler.Nostradamus describe "Hister" as villain and unjust man.


"The shocking and infamous armed one will fear the great furnace,
First the chosen one, the captives not returning
The world's lowest crime, the Angry Female Irale - Israel - not at ease,
Barb, Hister, Malta, and the Empty One does not return."

This is yet another quatrain where a scientists name is used exactly.

The lost thing is found, hidden for so many centuries,
Pasteur will be honored as a demigod
This happens when the moon completes her great cycle,
He will be dishonored by other winds.

This quatrain predicts the discovery of Pasteur. As a doctor, Nostradamus was himself very concerned with the mysterious nature of the plague and apparently made a link between running water, still water and the persistence of the plague. Louis Pasteur was the scientist who discovered the existence of microscopic germs. Critics also accused Pasteur of faking his results, which is what Nostradamus may have meant by, dishonored by other winds.

This Is Again One Famous Quatrain Where nostradamus used the name of person directly and exactly.


"From Castille, Franco will bring out the assembly,

"Hercules King of Rome and of Annemark,
Three times one surnamed de Gaulle will lead,
Italy and the one of St Mark to tremble,
First monarch, renowned above all"

(Century 9, Quatrain 33)

Charles De Gaulle was a French general and statesman who led the Free French Forces during World War II.He Was The First President Of French Fifth Republic.

Here is the quatrain :-

"The great man will be struck down in the day by a thunderbolt,
An evil deed foretold by the bearer of a petition.
Another falls at night time.
Conflict at Reins, London and a pestilence in Tuscany."

(Century 1, Quatrain 27)

In the year 1963, US President, John. F. Kennedy was shot down by the thunderbolt (gun shot) at 12 in the noon. His brother, Robert Kennedy was shot at 1 am in the morning after 5 years (another falls at night time). In the same year of 1963, students rioted in the cities of London and Paris and also there was a huge flood in Florence in 1968, which led to fear of plague or pestilence in the city.

Here is the quatrain :-

"The penultimate of the surname of Prophet
Will take Diana [Thursday] for his day and rest:
He will wander because of a frantic head,
And delivering a great people from subjection." (Century 2, Quatrain 28)

Princess Diana's boyfriend, Dodi Al- Fayed, was the son of a person named 'Mohammad' (The Prophet). That was not his surname, but still. Some translations also say "will take Diana for her day of rest". This probably indicates her death and the rest that she got forever from the paparazzi. "His day of rest" indicates the Sunday, the day when Princess Diana and Dodi died. It may also indicate that the day when she dies was seen as a public holiday. Several parts of UK was closed down that time, as a mark of respect for the much beloved Princess. The people of UK are known to be emotionally reserved. But the death of the beloved Princess, rocked not only UK but the entire world. Everyone mourned the death of Princess Diana. Thus "Delivering a great people from ruin". People from various cultures, from various backgrounds, countries, came together to mourn her death.

There Is One Famous prophecy of Nostradamus is believed to predict about 9 11 Terrorists attack.The quatrain state :-


"In the year 1999, in the seventh month,
from the sky will come the great King of Terror,
bringing back to life the great King of the Mongols.

No one is sure if nostradamus was using Gregorian or Julian calendar to calculate his dates.The year mentioned in above quatrain is 1999 (which is 2 year before actual attacks) but Nostradamus always used anagrams for his predictions.Also the quatrain predict about coming back to life of king of mongols.The last Greatest king of mongols is said to be Genghis khan who died in 1227.Did Nostradamus said he will come back to life?

The mention of "New City" ,"Center of earth"(world trade center) and "Towers"(Twin Towers) is somewhat believed to be related with 9/11 Attacks.Arethusa is believed to be another anagram used by nostradamus,which many connect to "Laden".

Many Interpreters have translated nostradamus quatrains about the end of world.though time Is not exactly mentioned yet some relate it to the mayan prophecy of end of world in 2012.Many experts also relate it to world war III that is believed to be predicted by nostradamus many many years ago.

All of these quatrains directly or indirectly suggest that if world ever came to end it would be due to human-being.The continuous and constant harm to nature from man-kind may lead to unusual natural disasters.
The world today is full of HATE and every other country is developing nuclear weapons just adding more destructive weapons.If ever these weapons came in wrong hands and used then surely world would come to en end.
