Dr. Ian Dunbar
The founder of modern dog training
Dr. Ian Dunbar is a veterinarian, animal behaviorist, and author. Dr. Dunbar has written numerous books, including How To Teach A New Dog Old Tricks, the Good Little Dog Book . Dr. Dunbar developed the first puppy classes in 1981. There simply weren't any before then. SIRIUSĀ® Puppy Training's lure/reward techniques provide leash jerking. These techniques have been adopted and adapted by dog-friendly trainers worldwide. In 1993, Dr. Dunbar founded the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) in the United States.

Jean Donaldson
Canadian-born Jean Donaldson founded Renaissance Dog Training, the first positive reinforcment based school in the province. She relocated to San Francisco in 1999 where she now directs the SF SPCA Academey for Dog Trainers. She is the award-winning author of T"he Culture Clash", "Dogs Are From Neptune", "MINE! A Guide to Resource Guarding in Dogs" and "FIGHT! A Guide to Dog-Dog Aggression".

Patricia McConnell
Patricia McConnell, Ph.D., a Certified Applied Animal Behaviorist, has been improving the relationship between people and animals since 1988. She is known worldwide as an expert on canine and feline behavior and training and is an Adjunct Associate Professor in Zoology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is the author of the much-acclaimed books "The Other End of the Leash" ("For the Love of A Dog: Understanding Emotions in You and Your Best Friend".

Suzanne Clothier
Developer of "Relationship Centered Training Approach"
Suzanne Clothier has been involved professionally with dogs since 1977. She has uniquely varied experience in breeding, kennel management, grooming, showing, training, canine midwifery, puppy aptitude testing, instructing, behavior consultations, in-home training, K-9 Search & Rescue, holistic health care and various club memberships & activities. Currently, she is a consultant for Guiding Eyes for the Blind's Canine Development Center in Patterson, NY. Her book, "Bones Would Rain from the Sky: Deepening Our Relationships With Dogs" has received widespread acclaim.
