Nudist camps and beaches in Croatia

Croatia offers wide range of naturist facilities: beaches, camps, hotels, apartments, and bungalow villages. There are more than 20 official naturist resorts which are spread on 8.220.000 sq. meters. Naturist resorts offer 46.100 camping units, 5.300 beds in apartments, bungalows or hotels. In addition to that, official nudist beaches (outside of naturist resorts) offer a place under the sun for more than 20.000 sunbathers. Except of official nudist resorts and beaches, there are also many so called free beaches. Those unofficial nudist beaches are sometimes controlled and maintained by local tourist authorities and sometimes not. Those unofficial nudist beaches can be found everywhere on the Adriatic coast. On the picture is small island Koversada. First naturists discovered this island almost 60 years ago. Today Koversada is one of the oldest nudist mega-camps in Europe with 1700 camping units located on meadows, under pine and olive trees. Camping area has about 120 hectares. In fact , Koversada is on a little islet connected to the mainland by a bridge.

The Valalta Naturist camp was established about 40
years ago. During this period Valalta became the
synonym of unquestionable quality among lovers of
naturism. This complex has earned it's reputation as
a custom-built 4-star naturist destination thanks to,
among other, it's modernly equipped port, the first and only naturist port with a marina
in the Adriatic, opened to the satisfaction of naturist sailors.

The camp is situated on a peninsula 8 km north of Porec. Surrounded by luxurious Mediterranean vegetation, crystalline blue sea, and centenary oak trees, the Naturist center Ulika is a prime destination for spending idyllic and undisturbed holidays for all free body pilgrims. There is also a possibility to hire caravans and air-conditioned mobile homes with all necessary facilities.

Nudist camp Bunculuka is located near Baska on island Krk in beatifull bay between two hills. Camp is surrounded with by pine woods, acacias and Spanish brooms.
Camp has capacity for 1200 guests, 400 camp units - 200 plots and 200 camp units.

Vespera on island Losinj, Kandarola on island Rab ( where the
season of skinny dipping was opened in 1936 by British King
Edward VIII, who was the first king which abdicated because of
love for the Wallis Simpson, American indented citizen).
On island Pag, nudists can find their place under the sun in specialized parts of Simuni and Strasko camps, while in the Zadar region they can enjoy at Punta Skala beach on the peninsula near Petrcane.
Among middle Dalmatian islands offer for nudists leaps out on island Hvar with beach on island Zecevo (where you can get by boat from Jelsa), beaches Jerolim, Stipanska and Mlin near city of Hvar and beach on island Palmizana.
Well-known nudist beaches near Makarska are Vrulja (in between Pisak and Brela), Dracevac in between Tucepi and Podgora and the part of Sveti Petar beach on peninsula within the city of Makarska.
Most famous beach in Makarska region is Nugal which is situated in proximity of the town.
Naturist paradise is a small island Proizd near city if Vela Luka on west side of island of Korcula.
Dubrovnik region, besides well known naturist beaches in Lapad (in the area of Babin Kuk) and on island Lokrum (just in front of the Old town), hosts many beautiful
naturist destinations on nearby Elafiti islands, such as Sunj beach on island Lopud,
beach near Donje Celo on northern part of island Kolocep, and beach in Zupa Dubrovacka between Plat and Mlini.
All along the Croatian coast there are a lot of places which are not officially nudist, but it is well known that these are usually used only by naturists.
