Nujabes
Seba Jun (February 7, 1974 - February 26, 2010) was a Japanese hip-hop producer and DJ who recorded under the name Nujabes (new-jah-bes). Nujabes worked with many different Japanese and American artists. He was also one of the biggest contributors to the soundtrack of Samurai Champloo. A major distinguishing feature of his music is the incorporation of jazz samples. Sadly, Seba Jun suffered an untimely death following a traffic accident on February 26, 2010. Nonetheless, in his lifetime he helped to create and expose the hip hop scene in Japan. He has influenced a generation of artists, and his music holds a lot of meaning for his many fans - he will be remembered. A number of tribute albums, songs, and concerts have been held for him.
