The Numa Numa Craze - Dragostea Din Tei

The popular phrase "Numa Numa Video" usually refers to the famous webcam video made by Gary Brolsma.  This video showed him lip synching to O-Zone's international smash hit, "Dragostea Din Tei".  The term Numa Numa became popular because the phrase "Numa Numa Ye" is repeated frequently throughout the song.  His lip synch video took the Internet by storm and according to some, was responsible for the success of O-Zone's contagiously catchy dance tune.  When people say "Numa Numa English", they are referring to the English translation of the song which is titled "Ma Ya Hi".

 NOTE: Another extremely popular version of "Dragostea Din Tei" was recorded by the artist known as "Haiducii".  This is the version that YouTube video artist Brookers made that some say helped land her a contract with Carson Daly of MTV. Her video has already been watched several million times.
