Ever wondered what you're going to do with all those old vinyl records you have laying around? The Numark TTUSB Turntable with USB is an ideal turntable for converting that old vinyl into mp3 format. There are a couple of downsides to be sure, but for the price this unit is hard to beat.  You simply plug the USB cable into your computer and via the included software digitize your old vinyl.  It ships with  EZ Converter a software program that quickly rips your vinyl collection directly to iTunes.  The included Audacity software can minimize all the pops and scratches that accumulate through the years as well as digitize to mp3 and wav format.  The Numark TTUSB Turntable is compatable with PC and MAC.  The TTUSB also comes with a line level 1/8 inch stereo mini jack that allow you to plug in a cassette deck or other older line level device allowing you to convert whatever storage device you may have to digital.  This makes it the perfect way to archive all your old recordings.  Of course you can use it as an addition to your home entertainment center to play your old records for your enjoyment!

  • There are a couple things that could be better.  For instance there is no auto reject, so you need to be there when the record ends.  Otherwise you may end up with a worn out needle.  Also the lack of a cue lever means you need to be careful to PLACE the needle on the record not DROP it. In spite of these minor shortcomings, if you're looking for a good turntable on a budget for converting your vinyl to mp3's grab this one.  You won't be sorry!  Buy it here.
