I am sure I see atleast one nutrisystem ad on television everyday I watch tv. This appears to be a a highly advertised diet program. I have seen may different spokes people advertising this product. - Alli Side Effects VS Nutrisystem Sales
- Although Alli may be the first FDA approved over-the-counter weight loss drug to hit the market, there are several reasons why this weight loss system will not affect sales of NTRI. First of all, Alli's drug maker, GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), has been very clear about the drug's side effects in that there can be extremely large amounts of diarrhea and uncontrollable bowels. They even recommend users try it for the first time when they have the week off from work to avoid any public embarrassments. It is unlikely that the dieting publc would be willing to experience these side effects for extended periods of time.

- First of all, people lose very little weight. I found out that Alli is not a new product at all. It has been around for long time and sold by prescription. Then Roche sold the pattern to GlaxoSmithKline. Glaxo repackaged it, gave it a new name and started selling it as the new wonder drug Alli. This raised my first red flag. If the drug really worked, why would Roche sell the golden hen to Glaxo? I quickly found the answers right in the company brochure. It only blocks 25% of the fats!
I would rather go with a safer, common sense diet plan like Weight Watchers or Nutrisystem.
In summary, I found that Alli is a marketing product which plays perfectly to fast gain, no pain customers. However, after I took a careful second look I saw a lot of pain and no gain.

Hey, I have lost 15 pounds in about 5 weeks. I feel and look better. I now know the food that I like to eat and I can custom order it online.
I hope to lose 35 more pounds. It is coming off slowly but it will be worth it!

Don't forget to work out! No matter what system you use. I used to work out at the GYM alot, but I found out that swimming is just as effective and a lot more revigorating. Highly recommend. Posted September 19, 2008 |
