This lens is created for the purpose of expression, discussion, and demonstration of Native American arts of the Pacific Northwest. These unique and beautiful pieces are expressed in both traditional and contemporary art forms and design. Many of the artists have a trademark style and medium. Others use several art styles and mediums, from wood carvings, to jewelry, clothing, paintings and art prints, literature, media production, and various other forms.
We look forward to interaction with artists and art collectors, historians and film makers, storytellers, cultural presenters and educators. We hope to help make connection between those who create art and those who want to buy, those who are keepers of the history and those who document historic events, those who share the culture and those who want to learn.
If you come within the range of any of the affore mentioned, please make yourself at home here, join in, and express your interests. You may enjoy visiting some of our other lenses (mentioned at the sidebar of this lens).

What is the Measure of Success?
Give This Some Thought
~Former NBA player, Michael Jordan, considered by many to be the best basketball player of all time.
Every successful person's pathway is littered with failed attempts because success isn't about doing something brilliantly the first time or even being the very best the last time. More than anything else, success is about trying over and over and over again. It's about never giving up.

Nice lens, and glad to see you covering the story of the Maori in the Pacific Northwest. As a Pacific Northwest artist I was honored with being able to travel to New Zealand just this past March and spend time with some of the world's finest artists. What a trip! Thanks for sharing this lens!
