Brett Favre a New York Jet?
WHAT? Yes, it's True. IS IT A GOOD THING? That remains to be seen. The saga of Bret Favre continues, with the Packers agreeing to trade their future Hall-of-Fame quarterback to the New York Jets.
The exact compensation was not immediately known, but it is believed to be a single draft pick that increases in value depending upon how the Jets perform during the 2008 season. The signing of Bret Favre as a Jet will probably not be good for Pennington, but what about the rest of the New York Jets?
More importantly, Do we want Brett Favre as a New York Jet?
Sound off!

New York Jets History
The New York Jets are a professional American football team based in the New York metropolitan area. They are members of the Eastern Division of the American Football Conference (AFC) in the National Football League (NFL). The team plays their home games in East Rutherford, New Jersey, at Giants Stadium, which is named after another NFL team that plays there, the New York Giants.
The team's training facility and corporate headquarters, which opened in 2008, are located in Florham Park, New Jersey. Formerly, their headquarters and training facility were located at Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York, on Long Island.
The team began in 1960 as a charter member of the American Football League under the name New York Titans. It was renamed after Sonny Werblin bought the team in 1963. The Jets later joined the NFL as part of the AFL-NFL Merger.
The Jets hold the distinction of being the first AFL team to defeat an NFL club in an AFL-NFL World Championship Game when they defeated the Baltimore Colts in Super Bowl III.

The Jets Draft Pick Analysis:
- Vernon Gholston - I am so thankful that the Jets tend to go after Ohio State Players in the first round of the draft. Gholston is able to be an every down player with Pro Bowl potential playing in the Jets' 3-4 scheme. He has more sacks than any College Division I player over last two seasons with 23.
- Dustin Keller - It's no secret that Jets have not had a decent slot reciever since the loss of Wayne Chrebet. Even though the Jets went with a Tight end over a wide reciever, Keller brings good college production as slot-type guy and can run down the seam on the out routes. The Jets traded back into the first round to nab one of the draft's top tight ends in Keller.
- Dwight Lowery - Lowery led the nation in interceptions as a junior in 2006. He didn't play as well this fall after recovering from a broken jaw before the season. He is better in zone coverage than man-to-man. He is also a good return man on special teams.
- Erik Ainge - A 6'6" Quarterback with decent armstength who could be a long term developmental guy or come in immediatly to compete with Chad Pennington and Kellen Clemens.
- Marcus Henry - Henry is a tall and fast player with a good work ethic and is willing to learn, just what the Jets need in a rookie reciever.
- Nate Garner - Garner is a big, tall guy, but not the quickest. He is strong and projects as a possible depth player.
