The Goals of The Nyadire Connection
Helping the people of Nyadire, Zimbabwe
The Nyadire Connection wants to enable Nyadire, Zimbabwe to continue to offer their social, educational, and spiritual services to the community during this dire period in Zimbabwe's history. Our end goal is to have a strong community that can be independent of our financial assistance. It is vitally important to us that we establish relationships with the people of Nyadire. To this end we connect people through sponsorship programs, penpal programs, and visits to Nyadire.
Little girl in orphanage
Sponsor an orphan
1. You can sponsor an orphan that lives with extended family or friends for $60 per year. The provides tuition and a school uniform. In this program you also purchase a backpack and fill it with school supplies. You can include personal letters, photos, school supplies, toilettries, etc. We'll ship it for you.
If you live too far from us to drop of the backpack, you can donate $40 and we'll use that to purchase a backpack and supplies. You can still include a personal letter and photos.
Either way you do it ($60 plus backpack or $100 total) you get a photo and biographical information about your orphan. You can correspond with them as often as you like. We really encourage penpal relationships and hope that you might even join us on a trip to meet your sponsored child!
2. There are 25 children living in the Home of Hope Orphanage. You can sponsor an orphan for either $30 per month (two sponsors per child) or $60 per month (just you sponsoring the child).
You will receive biographical information and a photo and will be able to correspond with your sponsored child. Your donated funds provide food, clothing, schooling, housing, medical care, and a stipend for the 'mothers' at the orphanage.

- Welcome to Squidoo, and especially to the Help Africa Group. It's amazing that American dollars can go so far to change a child's life, and I hope more people donate to this worthy cause.
