Our Oak Rocking Chair In The Kitchen

When I was young we lived in a big house which had a very large kitchen. I always remember an oak rocking chair placed by the chimney.

I would watch my dad eat his lunch. Then he would walk directly to the rocking chair and just rock for about half an hour.

We always had to let him have the chair first.

As then we lived on a farm he would go out to work on the land . . .

That is when we could play on the chair all afternoon.

Sometimes two of us would crunch up together on the seat at the same time. That was a lot of fun.

We had lots of laughter.

-- The positively charged pain particles are drawn to the iron inside and out.
-- The chair is removed and hung to drip dry.
-- It is then run through an oven and baked for about 20 minutes at high temperatures.
-- Finally, it is powder coated and baked a second time.
-- The end result is an extremely durable and weather resistant finish that will continue to look like new season after season.
