APPLE CRISP

Apple crisp is a very simple and delicious treat. But what makes it soooooooo absolutely fantastically wonderful is that it is also 'GOOD FOR YOU!'

It is made with the wholesome goodness of oatmeal, apples and cinnamon, all of which have proven health benefits.

What more could anyone ask for in a desert?

PREPARATION: APPLE CRISP RECIPE: 

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup margarine
1 cup flour
1 cup oats
1 cup brown sugar
Approx. 4 1/2 cups apples

Cream together the margarine and brown sugar. Add the next three ingredients and mix till crumbly.

Pour 1/4 of this mixture in with the sliced or diced apples in a baking pan. Add the remaining crumb mixture atop the apples in the baking pan.

Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes.

Cool slightly and serve with ice cream, fresh cream, whipping cream, or milk.

Variations: Blueberry, Peach, or Huckleberry Dessert Dish.... 

The basic Crisp recipe is easily adjustable to become a different desert in just minutes. Simply substitute the apples for different fruit or fruit combination to create a different dessert for every night of the week.

Rhubarb can easily be added in with apples to create an Apple-Rhubarb Crisp.

Or you can try these other favorite crisps, each one is delicious, nutritious and a unique desert each time it is made:

Peach Crisp
Blueberry Crisp
Huckleberry Crisp
Cherry Crisp
