Just a few steps away, the business of winemaking takes place in a state-of-the-art production room.

If not for the "wine tasting" sign outside you'd be tempted to drive right past Occasio Winery on South Vasco Road. Its nondescript exterior belies the ochre-kissed walls and busy winery within.Those who visits Occasio for the first time are usually curious about the winery's name. The origin is the Latin phrase Occasio aegre offertur, facile amittitur, which translates to the right moment comes along rarely and is easily lost.
