When trying to understand the Occult the first thing one needs to understand is it is not like movies betray. It is not evil in any sense or is not satanic.. This is a common missunderstanding many have been petrayed throughout the ages. The occult simply means the study of the unknown or hidden. In fact nearly every person on the planet studies the Occult in some way. It may be religion, inner understanding, exploring the paranormal or anything that cannot be solved at face value. If you are one of these you are already wielding in the occult in some way...
What does the Occult mean?
The word Occult simply means study of what is hidden, what you cannot see, spiritual paranormal or hard to understand. I like to sum it up by saying the Occult is like the study of self spiritually. It helps us understand our consiousness better, see more focused, understand the universe better and lastly be better to ourselves.
Brief History of the Occult...
The history of the Occult was brought about back in pagan days when spirtual practices were used other than christian or catholic. In a way it was a bit like a discriminating way of labeling any other spiritual experience other than with in the church. And that does not even go for religious practices, even the beginnings of science was labeled as the occult or studies of understanding the stars above.. The label of an occult practice was labeled as hidden or secret teachings or underground magic when people were persecuted for its practice.. eg the witch hunt.
Interesting Fact about the Occult..
One interesting fact about the Occult, is that if it did not go underground and hidden from the church and law back in those times we would most likely not be living the way we are today. Many scientific breakthroughs and astrological discoveries were discoved in secret in these groups.

Occult Use
One way of looking at the Occult is like the manipulation of energy to create a particular desired outcome. Very much the same as wielding any form of positive energy or magick. One understood aspect of the Occult practice is that we are all made of energy, it binds all and if you focus that energy in a particular way you can create desired outcomes from thes desires.Many forms of positive or negative thinking can be summed up in a similar way, you think positive in areas you want and things start to manifest or if you think negatively in any area then negative aspects can only be manefested. This is the basics of life in many ways. The power in which the desired outcome is produced in in accordance with the amount one can tune into the energy around us. A great wielder is often referred to as an occultist (experienced at the Occult).
