Occupy the Chair!

Occupy the Chair: An Odyssey of Living Room Facilities Management.

As the orangey fingered dawn appears from the East above Saddleback Mountain, the creatures in the living room awake to the appearance of even more animals. New ones have arrived during the night to occupy The Chair. They are crowding out the wing back chair (ordered 25 years ago from the Carolinas and reupholstered 10 years ago. ) Perhaps it is time to dispense with the old and to redecorate the residence.

They haven't made clear who the leader of this swarm is. We guess that it is the rabbit CEO and Chairman of Parker Industries, but we aren't sure. He has reserved his own blanket for nightfall so as to avoid the teeming crowds on the wing back. This perquisite suggests to us that he is in fact their leader. (In fact, another lens tells us exactly who these animals are.)

The only thing we know is that the animals seem to be confused about what to do with their new found power. They are part of a new movement. It is clear to them that they need more space, that they need to occupy additional chairs, but they are in disagreement as to what design to pick. They are considering options for decorating themes. Maybe the swarm needs a super committee to make the selection. They have to make all those choices between elegance and functionality.

A.C. ,the Lizard, reminds them that they are running out of time and must place orders soon before the situation becomes too much a game of musical chairs. Markup, the Bearista, has sent out invitations to a Drum Circle and more animals are heading this way. We screen everyone who comes into the living room, and we assure that there are no weasels!

The owners of the Living Room admire the animal spirits. However, they are running the washing machine nonstop now and are becoming the new best friends of the mobile carpet steam cleaning company. The owners are becoming concerned about sanitation issues and may send in the porcelain guard dogs, Western& Best, to bust this crowd up. They might send all the animals away to Public Storage. The dogs are watching.

Parker the Rabbit has promised that he will make a New Year's resolution to use the litter box on a consistent basis rather than just when it is
convenient.
