I am a 24-year-old artist and illustrator, a Russian-Canadian currently living in Australia with my wonderful husband, and enjoying every minute of it! I am a graduate of the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design (NSCAD University) in Nova Scotia, Canada, where my major was Media Arts, and my specific focus of study was Illustration and Digital Media.

I am inspired by all living things, great and small. I can often be found running around with my trusty digital camera, taking pictures of everything from blades of grass, to birds in the sky, to animals in the bush - so that I may use the photographs as first-hand references for my art. I draw from my own experience of being with nature, being with animals and living creatures, and listening to what they inspire me to create.

I am also fascinated by how we humans relate to animals and the natural world - nature-based spirituality, environmental issues, as well as human cultures throughout history and how our own relationship with nature has evolved.

My mother is a biologist, my father a computer programmer - I grew up around all sorts of exotic animals, and am comfortable with technology. I was born in Moscow, Russia, but have also spent half my life in lovely Atlantic Canada, and now I find inspiration in Australian nature and wildlife - due to this diverse cultural background, my shop will most likely be full of very different art pieces! I also enjoy experimenting with many different media, both digital and tangible - adding to the eclectic mix. The inspiration and style, though, is clear - I am inspired by nature, and incredibly attentive to detail in everything I do. My goal is to find new challenges and continue to define and improve my style, and have fun in the process.
