You know everything about flowers, Thanks
  • Mujjen Mar 25, 2012 @ 10:04 am | delete
Nice and informative. I am always fascinated with the different climates that exist, how there is snow in one country when others are planting flowers.

Beautiful and a gorgeous tribute lens to these superb blooms. Blessed and featured on Blessed by Skiesgreen 2012 and also on Love Flowers. Hugs

These are all such lovely flowers! My favorite would have to be the pansy :)
  • RinchenChodron Mar 9, 2012 @ 10:59 am | delete
My favorite are nasturtiums, but all of these are great! Wish I lived in FL - in Colorado our growing season is much shorter.
  • pawpaw911 Mar 8, 2012 @ 10:11 pm | delete
Lots of great choices. Make me want to get to digging in the dirt.
  • Tipi Mar 6, 2012 @ 10:43 am | delete
I love all of these beautiful colorful flowers. What a gorgeous lens.
  • MelonyVaughan Mar 5, 2012 @ 11:45 am | delete
I've always loved pansies. They are quite hardy and easy to take care of.

It is really interesting (and surprising) to see that you planted the same flowers last fall in Florida that I'll plant this spring in New England. It must be a gardener's dream to live in a tropical climate!
  • poddys Oct 31, 2011 @ 4:51 pm | delete
Florida is a place where there is a lot of color all year round. I sometimes miss the wonderful tropical plants there. Great lens, I had to come back and bless it.
  • SandyPeaks Jan 24, 2011 @ 8:34 am | delete
    Lovely flowers!
  • poddys Dec 12, 2010 @ 3:54 pm | delete
These look lovely. It's so nice to see flowers come into bloom after summer comes to an end.
  • WordCustard Nov 7, 2009 @ 2:38 pm | delete
Very pretty. You have some beautiful flowers there in Florida.
  • blue22d Jan 28, 2009 @ 2:44 pm | delete
Nice lens. I just love Hibiscus and Nasturtiums. I have a small patio and that's my garden. It is so much fun to see what others can do, especially viewing Squidoo lenses. Five stars and a favorite.
  • Squidoo-Pat Jan 17, 2009 @ 11:16 pm | delete
Nicely designed lens-Nice photos-I absolutely love Pansies. Flowers are one of God's most beautiful gifts to us. No artist can top the intensity of color.
  • susansavad Dec 25, 2008 @ 8:28 pm | delete
Great lens. I loved your flower pictures and was able to put a name to some of my mystery flowers.
  • AndyPo Nov 20, 2008 @ 9:27 am | delete
Excellent lens. It think your season in Florida is quite extended compared to England's. How lucky you are.

I so love living in Florida to appreciate the flowers longer than I did in Ohio. You've showcased some beautiful examples. Next year we may have to hunt up that plant-like tree with the bell like flowers that hang down -- A neighbor has one and it is beautiful.

Hi Daria: Beautiful photos. I like the way you alternate them for layout variety. The lycoris is an interesting looking flower. First time I've seen one. Well done.

Beautiful lens. We have Mexican Petunias, too but I never knew what they were called. I really enjoyed this lens and appreciate your visiting mine. I am featuring this lens on my Fall Flowers lens.

Lovely page full of blooms. Pleasant just to look at and wish I had a green thumb?!

I just love those flowers. I would love to fly from CA to FL by now. :)

My Zone 5 is jealous. I've got a few mums and morning glories hanging in there, but just a couple of mild frosts and everything in my lovely garden goes to sleep until spring. Beautiful lens, lensrolling for you to my calendula lens (one of the few plants which stubbornly refuses to thrive for me).
  • Aaron_Howard Oct 20, 2008 @ 3:50 pm | delete
Great information on bulbs. One of these days I'd like to have a bulb garden where the different varietals bloom all throughout the year! 5*

I once was shocked when the salad I was about to eat had white roses in it... 5*
  • susannaduffy Oct 17, 2008 @ 7:04 am | delete
I love flowers too. I keep dried calendula petals for salads and my amaryllis are blooming right at this moment. It's odd for me to read of autumn plantings on this lovely Spring day.

My brother and his wife love living in Florida - this is probably the reason - although they brag about weeks off work when a hurricane drives through.
  • saraht43 Oct 15, 2008 @ 2:12 pm | delete
Love the pictures. I live in an apartment, but plant a small flower patch beside the front steps. Have had great luck with pansies and impatiens. Shined up your stars.
