Of Mice and Men - Introduction

Of Mice and Men is an award-winning amazing book written by John Steinbeck in 1937. It follows the lives of two men, George Stilton and Lennie Small who were migrant ranch workers during the Great Depression. It is a tragic stroy which follows many twists and turns and shows you the harsh times of the Great Depression while keeping you on the edge of your seat. It is one of the best books I have read, and am sure it will be yours too.

Important Characters

George Milton - A sharp, intelligent migrant ranch worker.
Lennie Small - A mentally disabled, strong migrant ranch worker who travels with George.
Candy - An old ranch worker who only has one hand.
Curley - An aggressive short man, who is the son of the boos of the ranch.
Curley's wife - Curley's wife, a young beautiful woman who causes the tragic end of the novella
Crooks - A proud, black stable buck on the ranch who has faced a lot of racism and discrimination.
