Canvas Art for Your Home or Office

Ranked #25,079 in Arts & Design, #612,215 overall

Decorate Your Walls

They may need to wait to see you, but you can make that wait more enjoyable...

The art on the walls of your business or professional office can encourage patients to eat healthy, give them peace in a trying moment, or offer them a cheap escape from some temporary stress.

At home, they can be a conversation starter in your living room, or give your guests something to look at while you finish getting ready for an outing.

Try hanging them in your living room, hallway, or foyer -- where ever people may linger to enjoy a piece of fine art! Or use them something to look at in employee meeting rooms, hotel lobbies, motel rooms, even the hallways of hospitals and nursing homes.

The fine art featured on this page begins with a photograph by your lensmaster, Cheryl Rogers. Because it is actually printed on canvas, it resembles the oil painting, with exquisite detail.

When you order through Cheryl's "Photos on Canvas" store at Zazzle.com, your canvas will be shipped in a roll. You can have it framed at a local shop, according to your specifications. Or choose from Zazzle's custom framing options and get it shipped, ready to hang.

The photo here was taken at sunset along the bank of the Hillsborough River at Riverhills Park in Temple Terrace, Florida.

Canvas art is impressive. Because it is printed on canvas, just like oil paintings, it make a gorgeous piece of fine art. Because it is made with a photograph, it captures fine details an artist may not capture.

About Canvas Art

I first saw canvas art at an arts and crafts show. So if you have never seen it, you may want to keep on the lookout the next time you're at an arts festival. They really are quite impressive. At first glance, they may even appear to be an oil painting. But when you take a closer look, you may distinguish some differences.

Canvas art won't have your globs of oil paint visible on paintings. That's because it's actually printed on the canvas, much like it would be on paper. Artists may skip some of the fine details we see with our naked eye, as well. So the canvas art will have exquisite details which may be missing from an oil painting.

Canvas art also gives photographers and consumers alike the chance to make fine art pieces out of pictures. In the olden days, families would commission an artist to paint a family portrait. These days we usually take a photo portrait. Now canvas prints make it possible for us to have the regal looking art of a painting without the artist...

Canvas art is not as cheap as regular poster art, but it is not a poster either. It is fine art and worthy of formal living room decors, fancy hotels, expensive government buildings and even mansions.

About your Lensmaster

Cheryl Rogers learned photography on the job as Society Editor at The Eunice News in 1977. She used to pack a 35 mm camera and flash to photograph brides-to-be every weekend. These days Cheryl takes digital photos with her Canon 40D, which produces print-quality photos at greater than 8" x 12."

Cheryl sells image downloads and designs a wide variety of products with her photos, including Scripture posters, cards, invitations, and postage.

She has authored a Christian devotions book, Fast Track to Victory, A Christian Guidebook, which distills biblical principles for new and young believers. The book, aimed at a broad non-denominational audience, includes 40 short lessons that teach how to love and forgive others, set aside pride, deal with tragedy and death, and much, much more. She also has written a children's Bible study, Making Choices: Life is Like Acorns, aimed at 5 to 10-year-olds. The story about a mama squirrel and her baby Peepsy teaches children things are not what they seem to be. It is intended to be read to children by a parent or other caregiver who wishes to share his/her faith. Discussion questions are included.

For preteens and teens, Cheryl has written Just Like Jonah Wail Tales, a collection of exaggerated tales of woe. These stories teach that there is a price to pay when you disobey, much like the book of Jonah teaches in the Bible.

Also available by Cheryl Rogers is What You Should KNOW About Self Publishing, a primer for would-be authors. This takes the author from idea conception to book completion, including tips on research, marketing and printing. These tips are intended to save you time and money.
