RocketMoms Session 10 Challenge

I accepted the ten-week challenge for RocketMoms.

We were given a challenge to create ten lenses on different topics ranging from cooking to travel. It was a sort of nuts and bolts range of topics that either stretched my writing skills to the max or whetted my juices for more. I enjoyed most of the topics; and those that were not in my interest I chose to make up for by doing multiple lenses on other topics. All in all it was a very good challenge for me, even if my fellow RocketMoms passed me in the dust with their skills at break-neck speed. Nevertheless, the tortoise of the group, me, did cross the finish line and I was pleased with my selection of topics. I hope you will enjoy the smorgasbord of subjects covered.

Challenge # 1: Create a niche lens on any topic as well as a recipe lens. On the niche lens I featured a product review on the Oster Convection Oven and on the recipe lens I offered up my own brand of Aloha Nut Bread which garnered a purple star.

Challenge #2: Create a lens featuring any topic relating to fall or having a fall theme. For this challenge I chose to write about my memories of helping my mother make jellies and jams from our garden and the fruit trees.

Challenge #4: This challenge gave us three choices of subjects. I chose to write a lens on my Top 10 Fireplace Christmas Decorations. The second topic was a toy lens in which I stretched to do one on the Razor E100 Electric Scooter.

Challenge #6: This challenge called for us to write a lens on either a travel subject or one pertaining to entertainment which could include local events or locations. I chose to write about New York City through the eyes of vintage posters and postcards.

Challenge #7: It was a fun challenge that centered around one simple subject: pumpkins. I sharpened my fact-finding skills on this one and wrote a lens featuring my top-10 pumpkin facts. I enjoyed this journey through the pumpkin fields of America. I also received a purple star for this lens.

Challenge #8: We were charged with writing a "How-to" lens. This was my favorite of all the challenges. I wrote two lenses which featured how to make your own potpourri and how to do punched tin projects.

Punched tin won a purple star also!

I sure like how you pulled your Rocket Mom's Session Ten assignments together...an impressive list of subjects! Thanks for adding to the plexo on mine ;)
