Ontario Harness Racing is cool excitement on a hot summer night.

Two minutes to post time. Have you made your wager? Unlike other summertime sports, Ontario Harness Racing is exciting to watch because it's very interactive. The art of picking horses, and making good bets satisfies spectators; the thrill of victory is shared out among hundreds of the winners. Knowing some things about harness racing, and how to read racing programs could pay for your whole evening, or your next sports car!

Ontario Harness Horse Association

The Ontario Horse Harness Association is an interested group of owners, trainers, and drivers of Standardbred horses. They have an intriguing website called Get Sulky with an animated harness racing flash game that simulates the thrill of sports betting, and building big stakes at the racetrack. Go there to let it ride!

The Ontario Harness Horse Association was formed on the first day of February 1961 to represent Ontario harness horsemen and horsewomen in negotiations of purses and racing conditions and to handle all matters affecting the racing industry with the tracks, Standardbred Canada, the Ontario Racing Commission, and the Provincial and Federal governments.

The main objectives of the Ontario Harness Racing Association as set out in the Charter are to encourage, improve, and promote the breeding, and racing of trotting and pacing horses.

The incorporating members and first directors of the Association as shown on the Letters Patent were Leslie Ehrlick, Hugh Thomas McConkey, and James Harold Holmes.

On January 19, 1992 an application was made and approved by the provincial secretary to have the name Ontario Harness Horsemen's Association changed to the Ontario Harness Horse Association.

Here are some books and DVDs and even a commemorative clock?

There's lots of stuff related to Harness Racing available for sale on Amazon.

I picked these five items myself, but it might be interesting to see what Amazon would have offered readers in the auto search function... I saw boots and jockey jackets, horse blinders and lots of racing program tip brochures, Ontario racetrack guides, and photo albums.
